I made a wooden frame that looks like a Polaroid and bought props for people to use! I am hanging it from the ceiling so people can just stand behind it. It is big enough to fit maybe 5 or so people (if people squat down and do two rows). I didn’t want to spend a ton on a photo booth so this is my alternative!

I am on the fence about it. While it causes for fun/beautiful photos- It is wayyy out of my budget. In my area they range from $400-$600 for 4 hours.

So I decided to go without one.

We are doing that. There are tons of templates on Etsy. There is also a photo frame at party city that is pretty cool. It’s make your own so you can use it for several different wedding occasions. I will probably use it for the bridal shower and the wedding as well. We got a backdrop and a few props from hobby lobby. There will be an iPad set up on a stand with an app for the photo taking part of it.

We bought props at hobby lobby and I made a “selfie station” sign. I found a Mr and Mrs balloon banner in the target dollar section that will hang where they can take photos in front of!

You really don’t need it. I would personally consider it an “extra” like if there’s $ leftover in our budget we can spend it on that but it’s not necessary. The big bucks are going to the photographer and videographer. I care way more about that then people posing with props in a booth or whatnot.

I want to do a big mural backdrop like the picture. I’ve thought about putting my camera on a tripod with it, but I think most people will just use their phones for pictures (and hopefully use our hashtag when posting).

We bought some fringey wall hangings to put up and a Fuji Instax camera for people to use.

If you have a camera that you can set up then you can use that with a weighted tripod. If not, it's as simple as a Instant camera or even a point & shoot (and you can upload the photos later). The last few weddings I've been to had a diy photo session and used the Instant cameras.

Hey there Brooke! Are you planning on having a DIY photo booth at your wedding? Will you use a polaroid camera or some other type of camera?
