Overdone and over it?

What trends, elements, themes, decorations, etc., are you so tired of seeing at weddings? I keep seeing articles about wedding trends that need to "die" or themes that are overdone. So I want to hear what you all are totally over seeing at weddings. I haven't been to many weddings so I love to hear...

My wedding is exactly what everyone is complaining about lol im wearing my boots, because I've wore them every day for as long as i can remember, mason jars are the normal drinking glass for us, and everything we love is in our wedding because we're hillbillies and proud of it lol even though i definitely hate on girls that show up to our county fairs in boots like they're in some damn halloween costume. It's just us. I don't like fancy, sit down and drink classy bubbly shit but I'll shotgun a few beers at some prissy people's weddings lol

For me choreographed dances especially if you know you can't dance. It's one thing to see an honest no dancing person but to practice a dance and you still look a mess? Lawdy.

Aisle runners. They seem more like a hazard than a help to get down the aisle.

Honeyfunds. Tacky as hell. And anything with the word "wifey" on it. That word makes me cringe.

Cowgirl boots are for cleaning out stalls and ridding horses ( I grew on a 300 acre horse farm). I can't stand seeing girls walk around in them especially in weddings.. with high low wedding dresses

"Pick a seat, not a side"

"Love is sweet, take a treat"

"Trust me, you can dance! --Vodka"

"Alcohol...because no great story ever started with someone eating a salad!"

    MAKE IT STOP

    PREACH, @spaghetti!

I'm going to have to agree. The burlap, mason jars and wood slab theme has been completely overdone, IMO. YOU CAN DO BETTER, PEOPLE!

I also can't stand the rustic trend. Some color palettes are way over done and dominate Pinterest...like blush and greenery. It's so fucking pretty but if I see one more GD blush bridesmaid dress...

Also hate those gross cake toppers with the bride dragging the groom. I saw a picture of one here with a white bride dragging a dead looking black groom...now how can anyone think that looks appropriate?! Yay sexism and racism?

Also, I hate seeing cultural appropriation at weddings or in inspiration pics. Like dream catchers, tipis, sombreros, Asian farmer hats, etc as props when neither spouse is part of any of those appropriated cultures. And even if one or both spouses are, seeing guests of other cultures use those items as props for something like a photo booth, it's still pretty cringeworthy.

Personally, I don't like most cake toppers and think they are kind of tacky, but that's just me. Everyone has their own thing for sure. Pink has always been my favorite color, and I always thought I would marry in a blush dress, but found it looked way too pink on me LOL.

Man I didn't used to be a fan of rose gold and just recently started to warm up to it!

It's hard to pick wedding colors for an evening Spring wedding that dont include pastels or muted neutrals! Since the groomsmen will be in navy, rose gold seemed like a nice contrast? And that's coming from someone who isn't really a pink fan in general...

I'm not posting my BAM either! I am doing ivory with rose gold accents! My FH is wearing is dress blues so we had the rest of the GM wear navy. I had never even seen rose gold used on anything prior to planning my wedding.

Kind of a tangent, but for those that hate the "pick a seat, not a side" signs, how would you suggest communicating that there's not a bride's side or groom's side? I know it's become really common, but I don't want older guests to be confused, and we're not having ushers.

Sorry dreamer, didn't realize we were only allowed to shit on rustic weddings on here. I think black tie weddings are boring and stuffy. Oh well.
