Overdone and over it?

What trends, elements, themes, decorations, etc., are you so tired of seeing at weddings? I keep seeing articles about wedding trends that need to "die" or themes that are overdone. So I want to hear what you all are totally over seeing at weddings. I haven't been to many weddings so I love to hear...

I think anything along the line of "he FINALLY asked" or "she said it's about damn time." I found those pretty awkward.

Agree that I'm sick of the rustic/burlap/barn/wood/Mason jar trend when it doesn't truly represent the couple's personalities. One of the first wedding decisions I made was "no barns, no burlap, and no Mason jars!" I did make a slight exception in that we're serving mini mason jars of spaghetti and meatballs with dinner, but they don't really look like the typical Mason jar.

I'll also be wearing sparkly Kate Spade Keds for the reception, but heels for the ceremony. They're just so cute, and I'll absolutely wear them after the wedding! I'm doing mismatched bridesmaid dresses, but they're just different styles in the same color and brand, I'm not a fan of them all being completely different.

I can't stand sexist cake toppers (dragging the groom, ball and chain, etc.) or corny ring bearer signs either.

I'll add overly staged wedding party photos, or tacky ones like the bridesmaids showing off their butts/underwear... wtf???

The money dance. I would like to never see another money dance ever again please!! it makes me cringe!!

The idea that its on to ask for money. Last week someone on fb posted asking for registry advice and people told her to ask for money..... ugh... one of them was my matron of honor....

As some PP said, I cannot stand the "last chance to run" signs... or anything implying the groom doesn't actually want to be getting married, really. I find it so childish.

Def UO but I'm over ballrooms, tuxedos on the male attendants, taffeta wedding dresses, chair covers, all white decorations, up lighting, and anything that screams classic wedding. It's just so boring to me and easily forgettable. I'm glad FH is on the same page as me and his only hard no was having two separate locations for ceremony and reception which I refused to have as well

Oh, I'm also sick of personalized everything. Are your bridesmaids really going to want to use a tumbler that says "bridesmaid" on it all the time? Do your guests really want a koozie with your names and wedding date on it? And personalized napkins??? You're just going to throw those away! Also anything that says "wifey" or "hubby" makes me cringe, although that's not limited to wedding merch.

@Kathleen I have always HATED that kind of stuff!! Every piece of crap I got with the word Bridesmaid on it I have thrown out. Or if it had the couples info on the favor - trash. I realized the other day that is why I think I don't have anything with the word Bride on it.

Here I was thinking I hated the rustic barn weddings with cowboy boots because I'm a cynical New England bitch...lo and behold I am not alone.

I definitely would have to agree with the burlap/rustic and naked cakes having to go. I also don't like barn weddings. This doesn't pertain to weddings but I hate the "does this ring make me look engaged" mugs. So overdone

Barns, personalized touches on EVERYTHING, chalkboard signs in every corner of the room, silk robes for the BM getting ready photos, props for photos. A little of this is really cute and thoughtful, but when it looks like Pinterest threw up everywhere it's a bit much. When I first started planning I thought my wedding would suck if I didn't incorporate little personal touches onto everything from the cake to the freaking toilet paper. I'm starting to care less now. lol.
