Am I missing something? I don't see any link to another rockstar thread, except the one I started earlier, which is now locked.

Kelsey posted another thread that a Rockstar started but I guess with her new powers she deleted it since it was cake balled anyways.

Rockstars also now display "Rockstar" as their level by their avatar image, and if you are on a desktop web browser you can see Rockstars listed on the right hand on the screen!

So Rockstars can start a "private" thread only they can view to introduce themselves and "chat"

but community members can't chat and start threads to get to know each other better and foster the community??? okay cool.

Rockstars have a group where they can talk to each other and to the Community Team about their abilities and assignments. It’s private to help conversations stay focused on issues related to their Rockstar roles. It's not a daily chat group, the link they were trying to share is for the new Rockstars to reintroduce themselves to the community as requested, it is not for chatting about any subject. Sorry for any confusion.

I have a question. Are these people replacing the "ghost mods"? (The mod account with no name)

So is that moderated by one of you to ensure that it stays on topic to their "roles" and that they don't discuss any of the other users in a negative or biased way?

Honestly I'm really uncomfortable that regular forum members are encouraged to interact with everyone and then have a completely secret place to go and discuss the rest of us. How can I be certain that anytime one of my comments is deleted that it ISNT due to a personal bias?

It's one thing for paid employees of the site like you and the other moderators since thats your paid job - its another when its a community volunteer with a history on the site who may have not gotten along with every person.

So now there are 2 public posts going on about Rockstar introductions...

Okay. Do you mind responding to my second question: What criteria will they be using to lock a post?

Nope! Our moderating team will still be working around the clock, and Rockstars don't have full moderating powers.

I feel like this is just like when they rolled out the new forums setup. No forewarning and disorganized.
