NWR: How long does it take you to get ready for work?

WeAreOne0822, on April 9, 2015 at 10:07 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 53

I can't understand why it takes me an hour to get ready for work. What am I doing? I decided to time myself today...and my hair takes me 5 mins (just throw it up in a bun or whatever I come up with). As far as my makeup, well that took me 30 mins! Why am I spending so much time on this? Smh. I shower in the mornings and have to get my 5 year old son ready as well. Anyway, just wondering how long it takes the ladies of WW to get ready. I'm thinking I need to get my makeup routine down to 10-15 mins.

It's an hour for me too and I do absolutely nothing with my hair except brush it. I used to do hair straightening/curling, the whole shebang but my hair goes past my butt now and ain't nobody got time for that.

It takes me only about a half hour to shower (not washing my hair), do makeup, get dressed, but then I have to get my son up, remind him to brush his teeth, get his lunch, get my coffee and lunch, and get out the door.

It sucks. But I agree, 30 mins on makeup is a lot lol. I do full face makeup, including my eyebrows, and it doesn't take me more than 15.

Probably about 20-30 minutes. If I'm in a rush, I could probably do it in 5-10, depending on if I had to pick out nice work clothes or if I could just throw on whatever. ETA: if we're including breakfast and getting lunch together, that's an extra 10-15 minutes.

25 minutes from start to finish. 5 minute shower, 5 minutes for hair drying, 5 minutes for makeup and taking meds, 5 minutes for bathroom duty, 5 minutes to get dressed. I dont pack a lunch though.

I need to just knock out some steps from my makeup routine! It wouldn't be pretty going to work without any makeup! haha! My son takes forever to get dress, takes forever to eat breakfast and he holds me up a ton!

I...do my makeup at red lights and in the parking lot at work? So, I guess it's 5 min total for makeup? If I'm not showering, I can be out the door in 20 min, and that includes extras like making coffee, getting lunch together, etc. (I'm a huge fan of dry shampoo if I showered the day before.) If I'm showering and blow drying, I guess I'm at about 45 min?

Anyone want to give me makeup lessons? I don't think I could spend more than 10 minutes on makeup if my life depended on it.

Futuremrslav - don't get used to adding more products to your makeup routine! It's hard to turn back to what you used to do! lol

    Like 25 minutes, including breakfast.

    I don't usually wear makeup, but when i do, it's a 7 or 8 minute process. 4 if I hurry.

About 20 minutes if I showered the night before, 30 if I didn't. I don't dry my hair unless it's the dead of winter, so that helps.

I take 30 minutes. I shower/brush teeth, pick out an outfit, usually iron, get dressed, throw my hair in a ponytail or brush it if it's down, and then makeup (during the week i only use bb cream or foundation, blush and mascara). I pack my lunch the night before. I guess it's easier for me because I have no kids though

I actually do foundation, eye shadow (including highlight and crease shadow), eyeliner, mascara, blush, lipstick, and sometimes highlight and I do it very very quickly. It takes me a half hour to do my makeup if I'm going out at night and I'm doing something new.

I take an odd pride in the fact that I wake up and get out the door in about 25 minutes. I always pick my outfit out the night before because I've had one too many mornings when I just stare at my clothes willing something to jump out at me.

MrsCheapskate, HOW do you dry your hair in 5 minutes? I shower at night because I can't bring myself to wake up any earlier.

An hour. I have thick hair and a lot of it so blow drying is not fast and I like to take my time applying my makeup. Now today it took me all of 15 mins to get out of bed and out the door, but I'm at school and DGAF.

45 minutes from alarm to walking out door. Includes showering, packing lunch, and taking the dog to the bathroom.

I usually take about 10 minutes. I don't do make up (I work with 6 software engineer nerds who don't care and I wear jeans and a company polo everyday). Literally get up brush my hair, teeth, make the bed, get dressed and eat my breakfast in the car or at work. I also shower the night before which helps. If for whatever reason I have to shower in the morning it takes me 35-40 minutes.

My goal is to have my makeup done in 15 mins starting next week! I prime my face, apply foundation, concealer, eye primer and then eye shadow, mascara, blush, and do my eyebrows cause let's face it...those babies are not great!

Between 30-45 mins depending on if its my day to walk the dog. I don't do makeup that would be a disaster. What takes me the longest is picking out something to wear i probably change my outfit at least 3 times its really a problem.

20-25 minutes, including shower and a quick potty break for the pup. I try to do everything I can the night before, I lay out my clothes and jewelry, and put my lunch all together in the fridge.

Usually about 45 minutes if I don't have to pack my lunch or make breakfast or dick around too much. Alarm at 6:40, Up at 6:50, ideally out the door at 7:35. I don't think I've ever spent 30 minutes on my makeup ever.

I am with Ally. I press and set my clothes out the night before. I pre make lunch and breakfast 3 days at a time so I just grab that out the fridge. I do benefit from the FH walking the dog when he leaves for work before me.

Pup goes in the backyard while I take a 5 minute shower.

5 minutes teeth, face wash, and top bun. I don't wear makeup to work just SPF moisturizer.

Dog inside, food in bowl and I'm out the door.
