Need some feed back.... Have any experience with "kapturly"?

When's your wedding? We booked their "mini" package and have a friend we trust who is a photographer to take photos later, so we can let you know how our experience is if you wedding is after May 29th.

I want beautiful images, but was taken back by the pricing. Not saying it isn’t reasonable based on their talent, just was completely naive as to the cost.

They gave me a list of people that they have had in the DFW area to look at their work. I split my payments up and am hiring a photographer and videographer for April 23, 2022. So far they've been pretty responsive but I just texted Dillon from Kapturly about a follow up email I have not received from a woman named Avery. I'm ok with interns trying to build their portfolio for the cost. It's $1800 for both pictures and videos for 5 hours I believe. Which is pretty good as I have been seeing 1800 and up to easily 4200 for pictures only.

They look like a real company but way too dodgy. You have no idea who you will get and what their product is like - it appears that they contract out shooters then do editing in house. https://www.internships.com/posting/bug_38949934729?context=merch

I am in contract with them currently but my wedding isn't till October, but I was so hesitant at first because there was just no info on this company. But looking now it seems they have picked up more clients since my first initial search. I got the video and picture package for 1,800 and I have both my photographer and videographer in contact outside of Kapturly. In fact today I am doing an engagement session with my photographer. Kapturly said that if I was unhappy with them that I could request a new photographer but I'm honestly impressed so far. Both of the people assigned to me have amazing portfolios, and seemed very knowledgeable. I was very worried I'd get someone who didn't really know what they were doing. Just realize that Kapturly will be the company editing these so you need to look at their portfolio for an idea of what you'll get back. But it's in my contract that I also get every single second of raw video and every unedited picture. On top of the ones they edit for me
Crossing my fingers though, I'll be sure to give them an honest review once I've had everything back

I just got my pictures back from my engagement shoot and I'm excited on how they turned out!

My friend is a videographer that shot one wedding for Kapturly and quit. The reason he quit was because the photographer he was assigned to shoot with told him at the wedding this was her FIRST WEDDING she had shot. She kept asking him how to use all her camera settings because she didn't know. There's no amount of editing that can fix a first time photographer. Most of their job listings say they are looking for "interns" to shoot the wedding.
