Might be rude to ask but how many CT's is your engagement ring? What is average?

FH and I are looking at e-rings together. The jeweler said about 3/4 Ct. Center stone is what most people get. What do you think? Also, feel free to post your e-ring pic. I know this blog has been done many times but I would like to see the pictures along with the sizes. Thanks Ladies!...

Mine is a 2.07 ct center stone and I have 2 wedding bands at 1/2 ct total each.

Clarity is SI1 and the color grade is an F.

I LOVE my ring and it was inspired by a Tiffany ring I always loved.

The first picture is with it by itself after I got it and the other 2 are of it now with my wedding bands Smiley smile

My center carat is 3/4....I learned while shopping for my ring it was not the size of the ring but the quality of the diamonds/stones. Big is not always better.

I have no idea the spec of my ring. I just know I love it the way it is and will never change it!!! It looks more like a wedding band than an e-ring which I love! It's 11 little channel set diamonds. (Suck at describing I really need to take a picture!!) I plan on having my wedding band made to look exactly like it except with alternating black and white diamonds as opposed to just white.

My center stone is 1.20 ct, with almost a full carat surrounding the stone and on the sides (and 6 peekaboo diamonds on the sides). The 2 eternity bands are a little bit over a carat each.

Everyone has such gorgeous rings - I love the variety too!

I'm so amazed at how different the ring sizes look based on the setting. I guess this is a way around a big diamond for sure.. Some of the big ones look smaller than the little ones just because of the setting. Awesome! I am so excited to get mine now.. Hopefully soon and I will post a pic as soon as I get it : )

Mine is just under 1.5ct. Russian cut flawless diamond on a while gold band. The pic make the band look yellow, I think it's cause it's a cell phone pic.

Mz B, your ring is beautiful!

My FS is a little more into status than I am and wanted to get a bigger ring, I stressed that not only would it make me uncomfortable to wear (I'm clumsy as hell, and walk through a bad part of town daily), but I don't plan on wearing it once we have kids anyway (don't want to scratch them). After getting it, it was hard not to compare to others (most of our friends have 2 carats of pure glitter!!!), but then I remember that we aren't in debt, we are able to purchase a home and pay for our own wedding and I smile that I get to marry a man who listens to me and who isn't wasteful with money (especially during a recession when he works in finance). I would never imagine upgrading, I would rather spend the money on peace of mind and adventures.

Your ring is beautiful and you should wear it proudly!

@Mz B - your ring is gorgeous and looks much bigger than .25. But what matter is that he gave it to you because he wants to spend the rest of his life with you and that you're marrying him in just a few weeks. All of our rings are beautiful for because they were given to us by those that love us!

@Rachel - it is most definitely all about the setting and shape on how they look (and of course the clarity and color on how they sparkle!). A 1 carat diamond set up high will look larger than one set low, also a Marquis will always look larger due to the shape.
