What really gets me is when people act like they don't know how bad their kids are...LOL i have a handful of kids coming to our wedding and i know how most of them act...HOWEVER...my brother married a woman (none of us were invited to the ceremony/elopement, not even our mom and dad) a couple years ago with the promise that there will be a proper ceremony sometime in the future, and as i'm texting her about planning my wedding and saying we may have to invite some folks without their kids so that our guest list won't be overflowing, she immediately goes on the defensive saying that if we're not having kids then it might just be my brother going to the wedding by himself because she refuses to leave her kids. like really? you don't invite anyone to your wedding except like 10 people, you've never met either of your sisters in law in person, and you're already bristling? it's like...i didn't even say your kids weren't going to be invited (although i don't know her or her kids and [cont]

Have absolutely no idea how she or her kids act) but sheesh, no other response other than "welp, have fun with just your brother going"? so i tell her it's not set in stone, nothing is set in stone until we finalize our guest list, and she seemingly calms down...then weeks later my mom calls me; apparently she ran and told my brother that i wasn't allowing children to come, and told him to call mom about it. while he's saying this, she's in the background going "tell her we can't afford it, tell her it's too expensive!" my mom goes "look, it's her wedding, it's her guest list and if she doesn't want kids, she doesn't want kids." which i LOVE my mom for, but i didn't tell her "hey no kids lol bye!"

ugh. i have to get that off my chest every few weeks. sorry guys LOL
