But if you have children that you do not discipline, DON'T BRING THEM AROUND ME!!

FH and I are having a relatively child free wedding (no children outside of the wedding party)

Its a night wedding. Its formal. Find a babysitter. Have a drink. Get a hotel room and practice making the next baby!!

Our wedding is not YOUR family reunion. Nor should I be responsible for stopping your child from knocking over the cake.

I went to a wedding and saw a child lift up the brides dress and try to play hide and seek under it during the first dance!!

BTW this is not directed toward WW Brides who have children. I'm sure your babies are well behaved. FH has a cousin who does not discipline her children and even if it is clear they are not invited, would show up and throw them on the mercy of other people while she gets drunk.

@LadyCrystal- that's my entire point, and why I didn't want to comment on here. Regardless of how *I* feel about kids at weddings, if it's not MY wedding, then *I* do not call the shots. If a couple specifies it's an adult only wedding, I will either get a babysitter or not attend. But for me, children are a blessing, and I love watching kids laugh and smile and dance and have a good time running around being kids. So I hate to see people complaining about what little demons they are and how dare people even think of showing up at a social function with the monsters in tow. I respect the couple's wishes and won't ask to bring my kids if they aren't invited. But I don't want to read through comments about how horrible children are.

Oh I know you weren't directing it at WW brides with well behaved kids but these posts always end up talking about how kids don't belong at weddings and of course I get my panties in a twist. Lol it's all good. Smiley smile

@Catrapoin you comment because you can't stay away. You are my Men In Black suit buddy LOL. Kids should always be allowed to be kids with this person who has several kids, they have no home training whatsoever. Only 1 of them is slightly decent but the sad part is that he is 9 and is damn near the designated driver when his parents go out.

@FinallyDoingIt Untwist those thangs girl lol!!! Like I said, I love kids. I want 4 of them but I do know that our No Children rule is specifically because of FH's cousin. Any time that someone else has to keep your child from starting a food fight in a restaurant while you are off drinking, there is a serious problem.

@MissB exactly. They are your kids. Don't make me have to raise your kids. Leave the one's who would pick up a strand of your hair while you have your back turned and set it on fire at home!! lol

@About2bMrs.T yep. your wedding is about you and your Hubby enjoying yourself. It's not fair to have to be the babysitter for irresponsible parents.

@FinallyDoingIt I wish I was joking about that. The boy has to tell his parents when they have had too much to drink. Its sad.

HILARIOUS FH is at his friends house and the left him alone with their 3 kids. I'm pretty sure they are going to tie him up and put makeup on him.

Sad but true, that's how my nephew (by PREVIOUS marriage, thank Jesus) learned how to drive... 13 years old and driving his drunk ass parents home. Honestly it's not the kids, it's the freaking parents I'm worried about... LOL

"bring your polite uber cute and sweet kids of course

Personally I think that should go on the invites... maybe the insert? Page 3?
