What's your vote on parent dances? Keep or cancel?

I'd cancel this one. I just want to TURNUP. ASAP. But if my FH wants to keep this, then we'll do it.

I really love this but not sure how to incorporate when I have divorced parents. They’re all really important to me but don’t all have great relationships so I would want to highlight them all and not sure if the time will permit. Maybe do a song mix and trade off.

Keep. But can we please cancel dances where JUST the parents dance a really cringey choreographed routine?

Canceled, technically. My dad passed away in 2017, and neither hubby nor his mom are big on being the center of attention. I say technically, though, because at some point during the reception we ended up dancing with our respective moms, and we were the only ones on the dance floor, so it was almost as if we kept the parent dances, lol.

100% keeping father-daughter dance. I'm not sure what FH feelings are on mother-son dance, so I'll let him make that decision on his own.

This is the song I picked for me and my dad for my wedding in November!!! I cry everytime I hear it...unfortunatly I recently lost my dad and now I dont know what to do. I'm not close to any uncles and it breaks my heart to just omit this song altogether 😥

We're not doing it because I dont like my dad and dont want to dance with him, and my FH thought it would be weird to dance with his mom if I wasn't dancing with my dad so we cut it out

Cancel. My dad won't dance ever, and I've never seen the need to dance with him. I can't imagine my fiance dancing with his mom either.

Honestly, my dad and I aren’t that close. He neglected me as a child and while he tries to make up for it now it’s been difficult. I didn’t even want him walking me down the aisle at my own wedding, I wanted my three older brothers to do it. However, everyone kind of pestered me into allowing my father atleast that. As for the dance, I’m not quiet sure how I feel and I’m still trying to figure that out with my fiancé.

I like the tradition, but we cancelled. I don't have that kind of relationship with my father and my MIL requested to cancel because she was stressed about being in the spotlight. 🤣

Cancel. This is an awkward thing when you have split families. Too much pressure to choose and too long to give everybody a turn.

Keep, This is going to be such a sweet moment, especially for me and my dad. After almost losing him to an unexpected bought of the flu when I was in high school, I feel so incredibly fortunate to have my family and to spend every moment we can with them.

KEEP! I have to dance with my dad. My partner is real sweet and is going to dance with my mom and his mom. His dad and I have a mutual understanding that it would be too much for us to dance, so I let him off the hook LOL
