I think that it is a really cute idea...please do not take me the wrong way but you will have to be careful because that could get tacky really quickly. Perhaps table names that are different baseball teams or baseball stadiums and perhaps a baseball themed candy bar and groomscake.

I love that idea Ditmara. This is another idea its what I am planning on using for our son. I letting him keep it as a keepsake afterward.

@Courtney...what could get tacky? The mitt idea? Or all the baseball themed stuff? That's what I'm trying to avoid...I don't want it to get super tacky. I read about a girl who had her groomsmen wear jerseys and she walked down to their baseball team's song and used her team's logo all over her reception. It worked for her....and I don't want to judge cus everyone has a dif vision for their wedding but I want something for elegant.

I just mean the theme in general I think the mitt idea is super cute...I meant tacky like plastic bats and balls on the tables in crazy colors and everything the guests look at has a baseball on it. I think that you can make a baseball and make it really cute and not too themey.

It is not tacky at all! I love that you have such a passionate standing with your theme and you're finding creative ways of putting it in your wedding... I wish I could come up with something as creative with mine.

Your wedding is going to be beautiful...everything that you have shared so far is great...the little baseball touches are just enough for people to know your a fan without it taking away from the elegance you want to have...the baseball mitt is a very cute idea,,,what else would you have,a pillow? so would not be for you...go with the mitt.

My FH's cousin just got married with a baseball themed wedding. They actually did it at a local college on a baseball field. It was super cute actually. The guys wore button up shirts and vests with their last names across their shoulders on the back (just like a jersey). The centerpieces were 3 different sized/colored buckets with your typical baseball game munchies in it for the favors (packaged peanuts, cracker jacks, bubble gum, twizzlers...etc.) All of the tables were named after famous baseball fields all around the country instead of the typical numbers. The food was all things like hot dogs, burgers, nachos, mozzarella sticks and buffalo wings, things like that. It worked really well for them. They stayed away from tacky. I just would stay away from the baseball knick knacky things.

I'm so glad you posted a pic, because, not gonna lie, at first I was like, "Nooooooo." Hahaha. I wonder if you could un-do the leather stitching and use ribbon instead to dress it up.

I think a catchers mit would be awesome, not sure if a regular mit would work but a catchers mit would be perfect! I think it is just the right touch to start bringing it all together. I think everything for your wedding so far has been right the right amount of "on board" no tackyness at all!

Ditmara, do it! I think it will look so cute and not overdoing the baseball theme at all! I've loved your ideas that you've posted btw....we are doing a football themed wedding and have been going through the same thing.....I want it pretty, but we are both such big football lovers that I still want it fun, without tacky! The mitt does sound so cute!

I was at a baseball themed wedding a few years ago. They had stations at their cocktail hour and one of them was baseball themed. They had an ice carving of a baseball player and all of the food was food that would be served at a baseball game; hot dogs, burgers, fries and such. It was such a cute idea and it was the talk of the very expensive wedding! Go for it and embrace your theme. The uniqueness of it will be one of the things people remember for a long, long time.
