“In Loving memory” on programs…need help please

Jaemi C. fka Jaemi S. :-), on October 11, 2010 at 2:18 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

So I am trying to finish up my programs (I know last minute Larry here!) and I want to put something on the program about loved ones that have passed on but we do not want to mention them by name because of one sensitive death. I need it to be short and sweet- any suggestions??

    We put

    "In Remembrance ….

Sadly there are members of our families that could not be with us today in person but we know that they are with us in spirit and in our hearts today and everyday.

We remember them with love." on ours

That is very nice. I think I might use that I just have to put friends in their too. It is sad but FS and I met because a mutual friend passed away. So his parents are going to be at the wedding but they asked we did not mention him by name but yet he is someone that is important, plus grandparents and stuff. Thanks! BTW if I have not said it enought- LOVE the photo!

I had a nice poem for my luminary you certainly could put it in the program.

    In loving Memory:

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.

You are loved beyond words, and missed beyond measure.

The other poem was in a frame I hope you can read it.

We remember those who could not be here with us today. Through the years their comfort, their wisdom, and their love helped shape our lives. They are here today watching over us as we embark on our wonderful journey and begin a new life together. We love them with all our hearts and they will always be in our memories and prayers.

We also had this on our programs

    We Remember...

Regretfully, some of our loved ones are no longer with us. We feel they are here in spirit and they will always be in our hearts. We would like to remember our Grandparents with love.

This is one thing I am not going to do. My FH lost his mom when he was 17 and he just lost his dad 7 months ago. I know he is not going to be able to deal with it on our wedding day. We are going to display wedding photos of our parents and grandparents on a special table.

My Fiance lost his mother suddenly last year and we still very much feel that pain today. Hope this helps:

On the "In Loving Memory" section of the program we put this poem I found:

"We thought of you today, but that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday and the days before that too. We think of you in silence, we often speak your name. All we have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, for which we'll never part. God has you in his arms. We have you in our hearts."

We put a pink rose in each bouquet because that was her favorite flower and we called attention to it in the program but saying this:

A pink rose is present in each bouquet today to represent the favorite flower of (name of deceased), (relation to bride or groom) who is with the lord now. We take comfort in knowing her loving spirit is with us on this special day. She is deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
