I hate the date we set

i am so excited but I don't like the date we set. would it be weird to ask fiancé to have our anniversary on a different date, maybe we could turn in marriage license together on a different date? we already have a nonrefundable deposit put down so there is not much we can do about ceremony date.....

Why do you hate the date? Honestly unless something supper bad happened on that day, Id just go with it.

Sometimes you can change the date at the venue and not lose your deposit if its available . but yeah...im curious to know why too

Thanks yall! I couldn't find my forum post all morning! I only had two open weekends at the venue we chose and I guess I am concerned about the numerology reasoning the most. my other choice was 09/08/18 I guess I just like it better than 08/25 but chose it so we had more time in between wedding and the school term starting. I can call and see if I can change the weekend but they are in a mandatory evacuation at the moment due to fire season and I would have to admit to everyone that I am a weirdo about numbers.

Considering my MOH and her husband just made something for their kids using their "wedding date".. long story short, they used the wrong wedding date and have been celebrating the wrong date for years now. Even the MOB didn't notice.

See if you can make the change. I chose 10-1 for the same reason, I wanted a nice date to remember.

I wanted 09/09/18 but it was a Sunday and it would be difficult for people to travel then

What? This is so weird... numerology? Weird about numbers? How does someone even have time to worry about this?

How could you possibly think that repeating what I said with ? would be helpful? keep your confused expressions to yourself, that "someone" you are speaking of could use some actual advice, not unhelpful remarks from someone that doesn't get it

Okay chill. It's a date. It will be special because it's your wedding. And you will remember it anyway and with fond memories

I'm sorry if I sound mean but you should have thought it before deciding on the date and putting down your deposit.

Oh, no, you can't tell people to or what to post.

You left us hanging for two forevers.

And your own post said " thanks for your suggestions/comments!"

You could sign the marriage license oh a different date, then have the ceremony still when it was scheduled. My sister had a courthouse thing then had the wedding ceremony a few months later.

I forgot people love to say whatever they want without actually being helpful! I was taking care of my baby, I had to wait til his nap to get to the posts, my gosh. wasn't telling anyone, just asking for legitimate advice..

That would be shady to your guests Thyia. If your guests are invited to a wedding on 8/25/2018 you get MARRIED on 8/25/2018. Anything else is a fake dress up party and people will be pissed that you lied to them over some stupid "numerology?WTH is that anyway?"
