A LOT of people feel like this! I had that panic moment... and then was reassured, it is normal to feel like that. Can you post any pictures? It was nice to get some feedback from people... also, someone reminded me, that I took a lot of comfort in, that alterations can work wonders- have you had any yet?

I attached 2 pictures...When I 1st tried it on I cried, so the store associate said:

Thats it, this is your dress..my mom and sis also loved it and I did too...

But after placing the order, I keep looking at it and I dont like it anymore Smiley sad

    No alterations yet...

    I love your dress.

I can't stand mine but can't afford another.

I'm waiting awhile to get mine because I'm afraid it will happen to me too... It does look pretty though... Maybe you're second guessing because it's a final sale?

Have you tried it on since you ordered it? I think it is natural to second guess yourself. I did but when my dress came in and I tried it on I loved it! I think it looks very pretty on you. Even if you don't love it, you'll still look beautiful on your wedding day!

I love your Dress! I bought my dress a yr in advanced and I know how I like to change my mind so I made a point not to keep looking at it. The less I look at it the more I look forward to wearing it on my big day. Try it and see if it works. I just have memories of how much i loved it at first sight and thats all I have to go on Smiley smile good luck!

What don't you like about it? Try to pinpoint specific things that can be changed, embellished, enhanced. Adding a sash with a gorgeous brooch, changing your veil, adding a crinoline to change the silhouette. Play around with it. I think it's a beautiful dress, but it's what you think and feel that matters.

A LOT of us felt that way. I did and came crying to WW during my freak out. I tried it on again and fell in love once more. This is totally normal. That dress is stunning and looks absolutely beautiful on you. I love the detail and the train is amazing!!

Your dress is beautiful. Smiley smile

I felt that way after buying my dress a year in advance, which is why I always tell people not to shop an earlier than a year in advance. Totally normal reaction from the sound of things.

FWIW I only fell in love with my dress again after I started fittings. It's hard to remember and imagine exactly how it feels like on after you order it and don't see it for a few months.

Cate was scared to death she would hate her dress as well. When she tried it on, she fell right back in love.

I think it is a gorgeous dress. I love the appliques and train. You look gorgeous in it.

I agree with Donna! If there is something you don't like about it, figure out a way to fix what you don't like about it.

I had that feeling too. Like Kris said, after my first fitting, I knew it was the one! (again!)

I think it looks gorgeous on you!

Edit--Donna is spot on! I added a sash (so in right now!) we took it from an a line to a fit and flare, and I am wearing a fitted slip with crinoline. It looks like it was made just for me! Good luck!

Ohhh you haven't gotten it back yet. Well in that case, I'm sure you'll fall in love all over again when you get it. Smiley smile

It's a lovely dress, but i know the feeling. I bought my dress with some pressure from mom/friends/sister, and i regretted it almost immediately and could not picture walking down the aisle with it. I kept looking at other dresses (which was how i know i didn't love the dress) and i found one online (for half the price of the original, only $500) and ended up loving it. I haven't looked at other dresses since, I absolutely love my new dress and can't wait to wear it! If you're unhappy and can afford a new one, you can always sell the first one. (You may not get back exactly what you paid for it)

I bought my dress 4 years, yes, 4 years ago. I always doubt my choice until I put it on and I love it all over again. If you don't love it when you put it back on, take Donna's advice. I wanted color on my dress and the one I picked didn't have any color, so my grandma and I added navy blue beading to it. The colored beading totally made the dress and now I can't imagine the dress with out it!

    Your dress looks beautiful!

I know exactly how you feel. I was here not too long ago taking about how I didn't like my dress any more, how I didn't feel like a bride in it and it wasn't what I pictured. Although I still don't feel like it's the dress I want to walk down the aisle in I fixed that by shopping at a wedding consignment shop where I found the perfect lace dress that makes me feel like a bride. Now I have a dress for my ceremony and a dress for my reception.

So, it's ok to get cold feet about your dress but just remember to try to relax until you get back in your dress and even if you still feel like it's not the right fit there are options.
