How to let guest know about changing wedding date

Karlayne, on April 1, 2020 at 9:34 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3
Hey guys

How are you letting guest know that you are changing the dates of the wedding. I only have a few right now that have rsvp . Thinking of just telling the ones who rsvp individually about the date change . Are you guys sending out another save the dates or just change it on your website if you did reschedule the wedding ?
Let me know !!! This is so stressful!

We sent out an email to everyone that we had to postpone due to the coronavirus. We said save the date for September 13th and to look out for invitations in July. The company who did our invitations is sending us a digital of our original invite with the new date and we’ll just send that to everyone as the new invitation.

Ppl are updating their wedding website, sending out change the date cards that most vendors have now, emailing, or creating a Facebook group to inform everyone. Good luck and stay safe!

    Hi Karlayne,

I'm so sorry you had to change your plans, but you are not alone. Keeping a positive attitude (through a funny announcement) can only help during this unprecedented situation.

Here are a couple of discussions with postponement examples:

    - Coronavirus Postpone Announcements

    - Website Wording for Postponed Weddings due to COVID-19

You'll also find more information (less funny) here: How to Word Your Wedding Postponement Announcement. There's also a glass half-full perspective piece: “My Wedding Was Postponed Due to Covid-19, but Now I Get a ‘Do-Over’” (with a link to a video at the bottom).

I'm wishing you the best of luck! nLxcI1gBilPA_DYsaorCTBp6X1DzLckXmXiZsyyg
