How often do you get your ring professionally cleaned?

We have to every 6 months per the store-purchased insurance policy.

I was told by my jeweler every 6 months for cleaning and inspection. I was told polish at least every year or longer so the metal doesn't wear down.

Im curious too- i have gotten mine cleaned twice at jewelers in the almost 6 months I've had it.

I get mine cleaned at least every 6 months, but usually more like ever 3-4 months if my schedule allows.

FH cleans mine at home every other day or so.

I got mine cleaned twice in the first 6 months. I only have to take it in once a year for the warranty. I'll probably get it cleaned right before the wedding since I clean it at home once in a while.

I take it in every 6 months for the inspection and cleaning but I also go in and have it cleaned anytime I'm by the jeweler since it's free and I love that my ring sparkles.

Same as everyone else- 6 months per store policy/warranty. But I'm kind of a freak about it sparkling so I clean it at home like every other week lol

My jeweler is every 2 months to check for anything wrong and to clean it. If I come in every 2 months she replaces any stones with issues for free, if not it would be on me because I wasn't being diligent. My engagement ring is sturdy but I have a smaller diamond and sapphire ring that was having a lot of issues.

@FaithD I also have a sapphire ring and it's seemed like my sapphire has been loose since day 1. What issues were you having?

My store does not require any regular cleaning. I use dish soap and warm water about once a week at home.

I have white gold and can definitely see some wear - it's been about 9 months. I plan to have it professionally done before engagement pics in the summer and then possibly re-dipped if need be before the wedding so that it will wear at the same rate as my wedding band.

Six months for inspection and cleaning. Every time I am in the store, they throw it in the machine for me. I have also cleaned it at home a few times. I have a morganite which is beautiful when shiny, but can dull pretty quickly. I should probably clean it more often than I do.

Lmaooo I have never taken it in for a professional cleaning and have been engaged for 2 years now. Bad me, I know. But hey, I still get compliments till this day about how much my diamond shines and how the stone is so clear. That is the benefit of adhering to the 4 C's (Carat weight, Color, Clarity, and Cut). But yeah don't be me and check with your insurance. Most insurance co. require a professional cleaning every 6 months. Im going to take mine in during spring break. I checked with the store and it wont be an issue with the warranty.

Be sure you go frequently so you aren't considered out of warranty!

Every 6 months when it goes in for insurance inspections. I think once I took it in between but I was already at the mall where the store was at and it wasn't add bright and shiny.
