Hey everyone! How much is your wedding dress? Where did you find it? Trying to understand the average price women spend and where they found THE dress so I can know what is reasonable when I’m in the stores in a few weeks wish my mom☺️ Thanks so much for commenting!

I originally went to the bridal shop my dress was 2000$. I went online and got the same exact dress for 50$ on Wish. (talk about savings) I was scared but once it came in it was a perfect fix.
This dress was $1,600 after tax but before alterations (I'm not expecting alterations to be too much, probably $300 range). My budget was to stay below $1,500 but loved this dress. I know there are plenty of beautiful dresses out there I could have gotten for a lower price, but my father loved it and I honestly got stressed out over dress shopping and went with my gut. Using this website my whole wedding process though...I now know that my dress is on the more affordable side when I see how much brides pay for their dresses. My point is, you can find a beautiful dress at any price! For some reason the lighting was weird when I took this and it is a ivory lace with a champagne underlay...just looks a tad darker in this picture. (Disclaimer: I like to note every time I post this recent picture of me in my dress that it is snug and I am in the process of losing that holiday weight...if not, it'll get taken out, ha . Good luck!
I budgeted for $1500 and spent about $1800. My dress is a Stella York dress and it cost just under $1300, the alterations are $535. I went to 4 different stores before i found the dress.
I went to two local boutiques (one local to my parents where the wedding is and one where I actually live). I also looked at David’s Bridal online and was going to make an appointment there too but I ended up buying from the bouique local to me. It was $2250 and that included the shipping but not alterations. I’m in NJ so no tax.
My budget was originally $1000 but I found my dream dress at a boutique in St. Louis for $1600. I dont regret going over my budget at all. Plus my FH told me to get what I wanted money was no issue.
I had made up my mind that I was only spending a few hundred but ended up spending $1,400. Oops. But it's worth it for the dress!! Don't mind my stupid face, but I fell in love with this dress and knew the money would be worth it. I got mine at David's Bridal.
My budget was $3000 and I went over by about $500. I told my consultant not to pull anything over budget and she didn't, but another consultant stepped in and did. I was irritated that something was pulled over budget (I didn't know until AFTER I had it on), but ultimately it was the dress I loved so I was also grateful she pulled it. We shall see how grateful I am once I get the estimate for alterations. lol
I actually found mine in a Victorian-themed thrift store. It was from a bridal shop that had to close down, and the price tag was $125. With the exception of needing to hem the gown, it fit like a glove, and the thrift store owner lowered the price to $90. Now I just have to see about alteration prices.
So, no, I didn't get the bridal salon experience, but I got an amazing deal on a gorgeous gown when I honestly wasn't expecting to find it. I hope you find something you love!
