Our venue is technically going to cost us about $3,500. Now we have our own caterer who is giving us a great deal on the food so the hall covers the drinks and the hall.

Congrats on booking your venue! That is the next most important step after saying YES! lol We are paying around $12,000 for about 150-170 people max. Wish we could have found less expensive, but we actually saved money by going with a Friday. This was also the best deal in our area. We didn't want to go too far out of town.

My venue is just under $2,500- but that only includes tables and chairs, no food/linens/etc.

if you include food and linens it will be around $5,500

@Alondra J, sometimes you get what you pay for, every "free" church wedding I've been too the church ladies have cleaned up immediately following dinner, including breaking down the tables/ chairs so that there is no where for guests to chat and mingle and since most churches don't allow dancing, the lack of seating ends the reception pretty quickly. Paying for a venue doesn't seem like something that should be mocked.

The church where we are getting married doesn't charge anything for us to get married there but a $200 or $300 donation is expected. The venue where our reception is located there is no room rental fee but we have to spend a minimum of $8,000 in just food and beverage.

I think 1100 all together to rent it. That is just the venue, tables, chairs, dishes, ect.. We are paying an extra 200 for them to set up and take down.

Our at-home reception venue (in DC) was $750 to rent, plus $250 for open bar. However, the venue rental included just the venue itself, tables, and chairs. By the time we finished with all the food, linens, dishes, lighting, and decorations, the reception for 60 people was $2,650. Of course, there was leftover food we were eating for the next month!

However, we got a very good deal on the venue. It was a private club owned by a friend rather than a traditional reception venue. We were also allowed to hire a friend to buy, prepare, serve, and clean up the food, rather than having a professional caterer. And we were able to get in two full days in advance to decorate everything.

Mine is $60/pp with a $6000 minimum and includes EVERYTHING: food, open bar, hors d'oeuvres, champagne toast, staff, full wedding coordinator, bridal ready room with drinks and snacks for the whole day of, two free nights for the bride and groom, discounted room rates for guests (no block needed), free ceremony, and centerpieces (ones that I actually like and will use). All I need is a photographer, DJ, videographer, and my cake. I felt like it was a pretty good deal.

Mine is under 5000Smiley smile I am pretty proud of myself....

My ceremony site is 1700 and that includes the venue, photographer, limo, flowers, officiant, an all other decorations.

then for my reception I am just going to a restaurant where they only charge 25/person for special events and I am only having 40 people

I figure if I factor in about 600 for drinks (probably more than I need to) and the cost of my dress and other costs here and there... I am looking at about 4000Smiley smile I'm pretty excited

I live in NY (which has a great bearing on the cost of things) Ours was $13,550 for reception with 160 guests and the ceremony site fee. They provided linens but we purchased the ones we preferred to use which are still sitting in a garbage bag in our LR lol.

Wow Julean! Your venue was gorgeous! Maybe I'll do a DW now in AZ! lol

Mine is $1500 for the rental, table, linens, dishware/silverware and use of some decor + wait staff.

There will be additional catering food/drink fees, but it's all custom so I'm working with a $**** budget for that. The manager is really great at working with budgets Smiley smile. We're accomodating 100 guests max, though I expect there only to be about 75 really and about 13 of them are children.

$100 an hour with a 2 hour minimum. I can use whatever vendors I want. They have tables, chairs, white linens, and a room full of things that previous brides have left and didn't claim that we can use.
