So I just want to know what the average price is for a photographer. I know certain areas are cheeper than others. Also I would like to know how much you are paying / willing to pay for one.

$2,500 - 2 photographers, all day and this includes travel (flight & hotel) to Palm Beach, FL! She shot our engagement photos in Brooklyn (where we live) and we loved them so much. She gave us such a deal because she's starting out... didn't have a website when I booked her! I had originally budgeted $4,000 so I'm so happy this is working out.
I live in California. We're paying $2,750 for 8 hours, 2 photographers. The total cost included our engagement photoshoot, custom guest book, hard cover photobook, 650 photos on a USB and a 16 x 20 canvas print.

Jessica Warfield Photography. She lives in Walden which I BELIEVE is Orange or Ulster county but she does travel. She also has an Instagram page. Here are some pics of our engagement shoot
We paid $3400 for two photographers with amazing style, unlimited photos and hours. our main photographer ended up staying for 11 hours and our second shooter stayed for 7 hours. the price included $100 album credit, a engagement shoot which was in our home in brooklyn at no extra cost.
we live in brooklyn and our wedding was in rochester ny. both photographers were local to rochester.
I got a super good deal on mine because she was having a spring sale and we paid for the full amount upfront, which got us another 10% off the cost. Overall, I saved over $1,000. Our company does photography, videography, and a photo booth! My package includes an engagement shoot, photography coverage for 8 hours, videography for 8 hours, a 5-7 minute highlight video, full ceremony video, and a photo booth for only $2,250!
Indiana based - $1600 for a photographer and second shooter for 8 hours, digital photo rights, engagement session
Our photographer is fairly new (only a couple years in) so that was part of the reason we got such a good price even though she's awesome! I think her base price for new bookings has already went up $400 from last year so I would definitely look into photographers that have done lots of second shooter stuff and are have done at least a year of main wedding photography for a good deal.

I think this might fall under one of those categories of location and pricing. We are getting our photographer and team with rights to all photos and albums for us and our parents. We are paying just under 3K. We are also getting married near Raleigh, NC.
$650 for 6 hours, including an engagement session and 50 thank you notes I’ve seen way more expensive though so I think a lot of it depends on your area
We're having an elopement ceremony so it's already included in the price but it's only for 1 hour. I wanted an extra hour for photos afterward which was an extra $400.
So after reading this I’m kind of embarrassed to say...but im in new york so I know its super expensive. For 2 photographers, 2 videographers with a drone and same day edit, unlimited hours, engagement shoot, trash the dress/if raining weather reshoot, a calendar, thank you cards, 8x10 canvas, a wedding album, 2 parent albums and a usb with the rights to the photos $7200
For reference, I am in Indianapolis. I paid $2000 for my photographer. It included 2 photographers, 10 hours wedding day, and 2 sessions outside of the wedding (we are doing 1 engagement shoot, then I'm doing the bridal boudoir).
I looked at a ton of photographers and the highest package I saw was like $4500. I would say the average was probably about $2500.
$2600 for 8 hours, second shooter, engagement photos, editing, digital file, and copy rights. We also get a keepsake box without our name engraved for our photos. 1500 image average for wedding day coverage.
