How Much Did You Spend on Flowers?

Jazmine, on July 10, 2019 at 10:23 PM Posted in Style and Décor 1 130
I’ve gotten kind of crazy with them... we are getting married in a garden in a super nice hotel we got a crazy deal on... so I started making some. Spent $800 on them for the reception, then found a florist I LOVED, spent $800 on the bridal party and family, and then kept adding more from her... I’m at $3,800 now!!! Oh my God how did that happen?! I’m taking tons of photos and have a videographer, and we have disposable cameras at the wedding tables so I’m hoping I’ll remember them forever. I will have the fake ones to decorate my house with post, but my gosh!!! Did anyone else go crazy on this or just me?

I haven't gotten them yet, but it's not going to be a lot. I'd rather use the money on other things. I'm getting fake flower bouquets off Amazon as well as the flowers for the centerpieces.. I'm looking at about 75

That is amazing! I'm so happy to hear that you were able to find something you love for that! I think my artist side came out and I just couldn't put it back in ... :/

It does help that we are in Dallas and chose mostly in season flowers. One of the ways I'm going "extra" over the top is getting 250 roses from Costco. They cost us only $250 and then I bought $10 vases from the Dollar Store to go with them. They will be delivered a few days before the wedding and will look like we dropped at least a thousand with having 12 vases with almost 24 white roses in each.

Our florist bill was $7k so $3800 doesn’t seem super crazy to me.

I would LOVE to have white roses just for the scent alone! I wish I had a bigger budget. There were some awesome floral packages at Sam's club but I just couldn't swing it and be able to afford food too

Weddings are so pricy!!! I totally get it!!! We’re doing a mini 3 hour reception and that’s it for 40 guests and it’s still costing us a ton

We're doing our wedding and reception at the same place..we have it for 10 hours so it was more cost effective. We're having about 75 people on a 1500 budget. Not sure how i'm going to swing it but so far so good!

It definitely wasn’t a priority! We kept it to bouquets, corsages, boutonnières, centerpieces, and our chuppah. But high cost of living area and a large bridal party adds up! And about $1500 of that was installation/labor, delivery, and admin fees!

DANG!!! Ballin on a budget! That’s amazing!!! My fiancé gave me the “average wedding budget” but didn’t want more than 40 people... so I just said okay and we are doing a mini dream wedding that is intimate. I love how everyone’s weddings can be so different!!!

Carmel, CA! The install and labor specifically was $750. They had to secure all the greenery and flowers to our chuppah so I understand. But having a large wedding party is what made is so expensive with bridesmaid bouquets being $100 each. Centerpieces were $160 a piece as well. We had a large budget though so it was fine.

It really was though aha but honestly... I learned that even if you had no decor and your food was simple and you had nothing else at your wedding... It doesn't even really matter because everyone is happy to be there to celebrate you. We just want all these things because they're nice or we think they're nice for the guests but all in all the guests just want to be there for you

Our contract is $600 for my bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 boutonnieres, 3 wrist corsages, and cake flowers.

Yea! I couldn’t imagine spending that much on my flowers. Lol! I’d be freaking out, because when it’s something you love and want it’s hard to change your mind. At first mine were $1,100 and now I’m at about $1,800, but I think that’s final.

We had very minimal flowers: bouquets for my wife and me, a bouquet for the maid of honor, a bout for the dude of honor, and some freeze dried rose petals to strew on tables. Centerpieces and other decor were nonfloral. Total for flowers was under $250. Flowers were just not a priority for us, and the whole wedding was under $10,000.

We paid $3800 as well as we didn’t have much decor, and we had a suspended arrangement, bud vases doubled as favors/gifts for grandparents, parents and those playing a big part in our day/lives. i love florals and they were worth every shiny penny. our overall wedding was around 35k.
