I’ve gotten kind of crazy with them... we are getting married in a garden in a super nice hotel we got a crazy deal on... so I started making some. Spent $800 on them for the reception, then found a florist I LOVED, spent $800 on the bridal party and family, and then kept adding more from her... I’m at $3,800 now!!! Oh my God how did that happen?! I’m taking tons of photos and have a videographer, and we have disposable cameras at the wedding tables so I’m hoping I’ll remember them forever. I will have the fake ones to decorate my house with post, but my gosh!!! Did anyone else go crazy on this or just me?

That’s fantastic! For your small budget, where else did you cut? We saved money by keeping our guest list to 40 and only doing a cocktail/cake reception for 3 hours

We arent 100% sure on centerpieces yet, but my fh wants to use jack daniels bottles, have fairy light in them. We also want to use candles and use small pumpkins. We live down the road from an apple and pumpkin farm

Wedding is 5 hours only no video. I could not cut guest list much more. Our guest list should be under 100. My dads wife is doing the cupcakes.
What?!? That's ridiculous. I'd understand maybe having restrictions by not having fake flowers outside near a waterway or in the woods. But to charge me an additional fee to toss a small amount of rose petals?!

Hahahaha we are getting married at a location that usually has million dollar weddings (this the crazy random charges) but because they are finishing construction in one section of the hotel (they’ll either be finished or 98%) the crazy money people aren’t booking them. We got our room for a $3,000 minimum food, cake and beverage fee and they usually charge $17,500 for that room. We also got our outdoor location for $1,000 and it usually is $5,000 for the wedding. I’ve saved a lot on the wedding so even though we are having a “normal budget,” I’ve saved us (after DJ Black Friday deals, deals with photography and videography bc of Hours needed, shortening our wedding, and buying an off the rack sample dress) $31,000 ... and still spent $27

Oh that would be cute! You could also spray paint some beer bottles and put sticks etc in them??? Something like that would be fun with your theme and location!
We signed a contract with our florist for 4k. I honestly want more though so if we can save up the money I will add another 1,000 worth. Flowers aren't cheap so don't feel bad. Depends who you ask but seems normal to me.

What else do you have planned? I found a lot of stuff on sale (clearance) from Afloral and waited for a 20% off clearance sale and got my $800 of fake flowers that normally would have cost about $1400

I’m making the corsages and bouts.
non flowers I’m diy a lot and finding things on clearance. Got our cake topper for $5 marked down from $25. I also happened to be in party city for my nephew’s birthday and they had those print your own invitations marked down to $2.50 so I bought those.

I know! It’s only a hurricane candle with a gold plate base under it, but it’s free. I bought some fake rose petals @ Hobby Lobby to put around the candle base to give it some color. But literally it cost me like $20 for 1200 petals as I waited for them to go on sale. The only slight bummer is that I see everyone’s amazing centerpieces & I’m like oh how cute - we should do that... and then I’m like nope... it’s an easy savings. I might buy another 2x boxes of petals when they go on sale again tho... just too be safe.
