So what I have been doing is calling different vendors in my area and getting prices to see what I am dealing with. Then based on that, I created a reasonable budget for us. I’ve also been deciding what to skip or where we can cut corners.

Uff yeah, I am in the same boat. We didn’t want to spend so much, but holy cow, it’s just venues alone will run up the numbers, and it’s not even the venue, but it’s the service fee. I was also looking to spend $10k. I considered a backyard wedding, but just the church ceremony was $3k and I did some research on catering and rentals. Just catering alone was another $5k in my area. No drinks included for that price. No service.
We're getting married in Kansas with hopefully no more than 120 guests and I'm looking around 20k right now.
Venue will work out to around $5.5k, catering around $5k, photographer around $2.5k, DJ $1.5K, and I'm hoping to be under $1k on my dress. We're planning on doing gourmet cookies instead of cake, and as minimal as possible on flowers. We don't have a wedding party, so hopefully that should help cut back a little bit.
We're inviting about 90 in person guests, but don't expect more than 75. We're going to be live streaming it as well and are pretty sure some of those guests would be more comfortable attending digitally because COVID.
I'm trying to not go over 7,500. Afternoon wedding with 60 people. Good Luck and Congratulations!

Im doing 7k bc we are already married but it is my dads dream to walk me down the aisle our first wedding was just us and our 4 kids and we went to a lady who is ordained
We really didn't want to go over 10k at first then upped it to 12k. I ended up finding the perfect fit for us and because of most of my family not wanting to travel due to covid, all in at just under 10k. But if you include the dress and extras, it's probably somewhere closer to 11-12k.
Still in the beginning stages but we are budgeting for $10k (fingers crossed) for no more than 100 guests. Our parents have already offered to help
We originally wanted to stay within 15k. However, in my area it seems to not be that way for us. we are now thinking of trying to keep in in 20k. Our venue and food alone is almost 15k and we have a small guest count. A lot of the other items I will either be making myself since I a very crafty or skipping out on. The best advice I have it figure out what is most important to you and what is not. That way you know what you do not want to skip out on and what you can live without. I am finding that easy for us since food and venue is the most important to us.
Including our "family" moon cruise and airfare etc ours is around 29k. Granted almost 1/3 of this is the cruise and 1/3 is the all inclusive venue. The rest is makeup hair dress etc (7 bridesmaids etc) I feel like we are doing pretty well on cost considering we arent really skimping on anything. This is my one and one wedding so I am gonna have the wedding i have dreamed about! Details - Tellico Plains, TN mountains 150 guests with alcohol, cruise honeymoon on balcony stateroom for us)
Definitely it can be tricky. I am trying to stay at or under 10K but finding it a bit difficult with 70 ppl. Seems it should be easier to stay within 10K with 58-60 to give an idea, then again I think it heavily depends on the location, Im in a small beachside city.
Our estimated total cost will be around 60k, including the honeymoon. We’re in pricey Massachusetts and have 100 guests. Also paying for the wedding ourselves.
I’m still planning but I put a budget on everything. Venue budget 6,000 saved 1,000 Dress budget 1,200 saved 300 His Ring budget 1,200 Flight and honeymoon budget 3,000. Still looking for
5-6k! A wedding is obviously something very special that needs to be celebrated, but we did not want to spend too much money on it. We do not want to get married and go in debt as soon as we start our lives together just because a one day celebration... You can make an amazing wedding with 5k or less! Our beautiful venue is a little more than 3k. the food will be a little more than 1k. My dress was almost $400. We're also blessed to have friends that do photography and videography so we don't have to spend money on that...
I think your budgeting will have a lot to do with where you live and your personal desire as to the type of wedding you want to have. For me, we are trying to keep everything, i.e. reception, florist, transportation, rehearsal dinner, photography, honeymoon, hotel under $35K. However, that doesn't include the little things. I am sure if I tallied up everything, it will probably be more than the $35K a figure I prefer to remain ignorant of. I bought all my bridesmaid's dresses and shoes. I bought gifts for bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls and ringbearers. Those little things add up. I am an auntie and my wedding party is mostly my nieces and nephews, who has to travel to attend and they also have young families, so I wanted to help them out as much as possible. I know everyone is not doing this and they don't have to. We lost my mother and their beloved grandmother the first of 2020, right before the pandemic set in. We haven't been able to gather as a family since. I really want to bring the family together for a good time, so was more than happy to not put a lot of expense on them.
