I’m having a destination wedding in Oahu with 70-75 guests. My budget is $40k... was originally $28k but it slowly went up when I wanted upgrades.

Nice!! My fiancé and I are trying our hardest to keep everything under $8000 and everyone thinks it is impossible. I think that once I am done with nursing school we will do a later honeymoon so we don’t have to plan that yet. We will just have a short weekend vacation. Thanks for showing me that it is possible.

It’s 10% possible!! Just make a list with prices of everything you want and then narrow it down to what you absolutely need like dress, rings, flowers etc and then if that’s still under your budget then you can add some other non essential items back in! Before I broke everything down I was just at $5,000 to be honest but I prioritized and now we’re under!! We aren’t doing a honeymoon right now either
These comments are making me sad ☹️ I wanted a big wedding but my fiancé and I already have two kids and he sees no point of a big wedding. I agree not spending $15-20k but something around $8k-10 was something I wanted. Unfortunately we can only afford like a $3000 restaurant wedding.

That’s very nice and I’m sure very appreciated. And that goes a long way ☺️ Have a wonderful celebration and enjoy getting the family back together. All the best and hope it goes well.

It looks like that’s where most of our money is going as well! The venue we booked has select caterers so we don’t have any flexibility there.

We budgeted $30k. This depends on the guest count and we are trying to have 180 guests max.
Ours Is capped at 6k, the estimater on here has us at around 4500/5000 rn. Most everything for it is diy though, and I have/had 5 years to search for deals. Biggest expense for us rn is food/drink estimating 2500 just for that. We'll see in another 2yrs how well it turns out good luck with your budget!
I’m trying to stay around $6k, but am seeing this is almost impossible for what I want. It may be closer to $8k and that’s with only about 45 guests.
Ha! Budget! Going into it I was convinced we would be able to stay at 10K. That was a cute idea. I'm a coupon, budget friendly, always find the deal kinda girl and I was pretty thrifty during the process and we're still going to be just under 20k. Things add up quick. Our wedding is a minimum of 90 (and in my mind a maximum) so it could fluctuate with size.
Our budget is $60,000. We always knew we wanted a large party (250), open bar, late night, so we set a realistic number. Currently we're going at $55K and this can drop depending on our final guest count which will probably be lower due to Covid-19. My fiancé set his own budget of $20,000 and quickly realized how unrealistic that was for what he envisioned, even before all my glamour. The biggest reason for the large number though is really our guest count. His family is Hispanic, mine is Chinese, 200 is probably the smallest size we could get.
