How many venues did you look at before you decided?

We only had to go to one, thank goodness. Though if your wedding really isn't for another three years, I don't know that a venue would be willing to book that far out. Why do you feel like you need to book something right now?

About 7 ... but considered looking at more ... I missed a weekend with 3 venues so had to reschedule and a few never got back to me. I still would have chosen the one we picked though

We only visited one, although we looked at five or six options online.

I agree, though, that if your wedding isn't until 2020 you have plenty of time to look around, there's no need to rush.

@Libbylane- sorry about any confusion. Our original dream date was in February 2018 but life events have happened and we decided to push it back and not rush planning it. I didn't want to choose a date of course since we don't have a venue so I just put Harry Potter's Bday. I wish I could just put 2018 or 2019 or undecided. I'm actually going to check to see if I can....we looked at venues for later in the year 2018.

I viewed several online but only went and viewed one in person and fell in love with it. We booked it the same day.

I physically only looked at 1. I researched a TON online. I eliminated all the ones that required a lot of decor or outside rental costs (chairs, linens, tables, etc). I couldn't be happier with our venue. We can't wait to get married in July. This is the "chill" atmosphere we want with all the fire pits, corn hole, scenic views of the sound, sunset, and greenery all while having indoor & outdoor options!

3. I chose one and had to back out because they we're awful. I got extremely lucky with the venue I have now!!

Had a list of about 30 to start, downselected to 10, visited 5, went with the 2nd one we saw in person

We looked at 5 after doing a lot of research. We ended up going with the first one that we looked at because of its closeness to our ceremony site and because of the attatched hotel. My favorite was our last visit, but #1 was all inclusive and almost the same price.

We looked at 3 venues. We booked with the second one we viewed.

ETA- I emailed about 20 different venues for pricing and information, we narrowed it down to three based on price, location, and what is included in the price.

Our first one we knew was the one. We went to a couple after that just to make sure and then cancelled the rest

We went to 3 of them before we found an all inclusive for a GREAT price!

We looked at 6. Although there were other's I wished we looked at. Take your time and look at all your options. It really doesn't matter how many you look at.

We looked at probably 25-30 online and then went to visit about 10. We wound up putting a deposit on the first place we went to see.

We toured three. We settled on the third one. We were very impressed.

I did my research and called but I found the one with a reasonable price and I went to see it and LOVED IT !

I looked online and requested more info for about 15 venues. I actually went to view 2. The first was gorgeous but fell through when they ignored my emails for months. The second is nice but not as fancy, but MUCH cheaper and they respond to my emails within about 5 minutes. They definitely sold me on that.
