How many times did you visit your venue??

Our venue is a restaurant that shuts down for weddings. I've seen it four times - once when FH and I went for dinner to check the place out (and fell in love with it), the second time when we went for the actual tour with the wedding coordinator, another time just to drop off the deposit, and the most recent time for our tasting.

Since it's a restaurant and available to us basically any night we want, we've had to make a concerted effort to NOT go as much as we'd like. We want it to still feel special and different on the day of the wedding.

Why u didnt take pictures? It would be easy to show them pictures.

Only online before we book, once in person before the wedding.

Haha I never said that I didn't take pictures. They still want to see it in person. I think I will accommodate this last request for them because the venue is also having a contest for a free wedding so if I go and take a video of the place, it increases my chances. And then I will tell them NO MORE!

I've been to our venue a handful of times on "official" wedding business- when FH and I first visited, when we took the moms back and signed the contract, and for our tasting. Otherwise, they have Sunday brunch so I've taken people twice for brunch to sneak a peak. If it wasn't for brunch, I wouldn't keep going back.

Same as Jae. Once, and won't again until the big day.

I live 9 hours away from mine so I've seen it twice Once with FMIL and once with my mother. I'll be visiting it Thursday and Friday before our wedding on Saturday though.

Quite a few actually. We went ourselves for the initial visit, we went about a year out to see what the foliage will look like on our wedding day, I've taken my mom, and fmil.

But, its a country club so it's open all the time, so we don't have to bother the banquet manager everytime we go.

Once with FH for tour and sign contract. Once with parents. A wedding show. Twice with coordinator. Twice to meet potential vendors (photo/dj)

Newlife84, I wish I could have my wedding at home. but since my house barely fits his kids and my kids for dinner, thats out :-(.

we are going today. I need measurements for a few things, uplighting (its a rec center so dont want the lights all the way on or off without them) and to figure out how I am going to do tables and the person who is doing catering is going w us (his friend) so he knows how things will be set up.

Ive gone like 5 or 6 times. its a state park but I always have to go in and ask for a key. they dont mind

I've seen it 3 times so far. The people at your venue should be more than happy to accommodate you, I wouldn't worry about annoying anyone. You'll be paying them thousands of dollars, so they better not complain lol!

Once, but we will see it a second time this Friday when we go for our food tasting. Our parents will also get to see it then. That will probably be the only other time we will see it between now and the wedding.

We've been there three times so far, and will go at least once more before the wedding. We went for an initial discussion with the coordinator, then went to meet the new coordinator and progress things, then went again for our menu tasting. We need to meet with them a final time to finalise the menu choices etc and also need to meet there with the photographer, although we are hoping to combine that into one trip.

I've been probably 5 times just to swing by and see how others have set things up (NOT during wedding times, don't worry--they let you set up the day before so I check out their table arrangements and placement and stuff like that).
