How many times did you visit your venue??

It seems like people are always asking to see my venue (parents, FMIL, sisters, aunt) and I can't get them all to go at once because of schedule issues. I don't want to keep bothering the lady at the venue to go see it. So far I have only gone twice (1st time to see it, 2nd to show FMIL and FH after...

I don't want to keep bothering the lady at the venue to go see it. So far I have only gone twice (1st time to see it, 2nd to show FMIL and FH after we booked haha). My questions is how many times did you go see your venue?? I just want to know if this is normal or not because now my dad wants to see it along with my mom and aunt so that we can get the decor down.

We went twice last summer when we booked it. 1st time, just FH and myself went, the 2nd time we were showing it my parents. I think I'll probably go back once or twice before the wedding as well. Our planner keeps asking us how we want the room set us and I want a 'fresh look' when we make those decisions!

I've gone 3 times. first to get a your, second to go over queations and pricing, 3rd to sign the contract and put downpayment! But my coordinator at the venue is always super kind, she said anytime to just text her and come on up! The vendors are usually understanding if you want to go again to show someone, I mean you are paying them a whole lot of money right!?

Ya she is incredibly nice about it. I guess because it is a do it your self venue, not all inclusive, that I'm going to make sure my vendors will work with everything and to figure out how I am going to set up the room and what not

We had our walk through and I took my mom a couple months later but other than that I've referred people to their website and took a lot of pictures. We are doing a pre walk through about a month before the wedding to figure out where my decorations will go and make sure everything is going to fit where we want it to. But then it will be set up the day of. Yes I will be a part of the set up crew - although I plan on getting the ball rolling and then heading out to shower and get ready.

I went one time when FH and I saw it for the first time... We're going to go again to do a cake tasting and finalize the menu... We also need to go once it gets nice outside... Only 2 people asked to see the venue and we sent them links to pics that the owner posted.

I've been 4 times so far for a variety of meetings and to show my mom around. I still need at least one more visit with my photographer and decor coordinator. I kind of feel like a burden but my venue is great and has always been accommodating.

Twice, first time to check it out and we fell in love with it, second time for our tasting and we knew we made the right decision. We won't be back there again though until the wedding.

Once with just my fiance and I. The second time with his parents from out of state and my dad. Third to sign the papers. And I assure you we will ask to go at least two times to plan out centerpiece decorations and whatnot Smiley smile They didn't seem to mind at all and said to stop by again if we want to look over the centerpiece sizes with the tables. When we signed, we had a couple people with us and I brought a scale model of what the centerpieces I liked would look like so I sat them on the table to get a visual.

Ive never seen my venue in person. The first time I will see it is on the wedding day. I chose it based off of a few pictures my wedding planner showed me of it. (my planner has been to the venue several times before and she took the photos of it) The wedding is in CA and I live in Chicago currently so it didn't make sense for us to see the venue in the winter when we are having a summer wedding. I knew it was the one when I teared up looking at the photos of it.

We've gone 3 times. When we booked, over Thanksgiving break to check out the rennovations (with FH's parents), and a few weeks ago for our details appointment (we went alone that time).

I would say maybe take your parents but taking your aunt seems a bit much unless she is your florist/decorator. I wouldn't want to show everyone the venue before the wedding.

We went once to check it out and sign the contract. We plan on going once more, closer to the wedding date so we can see where the sun will be in the sky (affecting how we will be setting up)

We visited twice. First time was when we toured the venue and put down the deposit. The second time was when we wanted to see what tables they had available for our guest book. No one has asked to see it or be taken there.

I've seen it four times so far. I too have scheduling issues and each time I went was with somebody who wanted to see it in person, despite me taking several pictures. It doesn't matter how many times you bother the owners at the location because they should understand you are nervous and just want to make sure things turn out as best to your liking.

I've been zero times. I won't actually get to see the venue until a few days before because we're staying there (renting an estate in Hawaii). I like to live on the edge. Smiley smile

I think 4 times, all together. Once to see it originally, once to sign papers and confirm. Once to pick napkin colors, and once to show it to my mom. Oh, and of course I got married there on the 5th visit. Smiley sexy
