How many times did you visit your venue??

Once so far. I will go back when we pay, then when we decorate the day before the wedding

One time only so far. We are planning on going up one more time soon to get license, don't know if well see the venue.

We have only been once--when we first toured the venue. We will be going again this june when my mom and sister come to visit so that we can show them. Then we will go again sometime next year for our food tasting.

So far we've been there twice. Once to tour and sign the contract and another time with our DJ as he wanted to get an idea as to what the set up may be like. I know that we will be meeting onsite with the coordinator a few more times before the wedding. That being said, I don't feel the need to have everyone come see the venue. I feel that only the people paying for the venue need to see it before the event. I understand you wanting others to see it to get decor ideas but just like everything else, if too many people are involved in planning the decor the harder its going to be to get people to agree on decor.

I think we've gone on 3 "scheduled" visits. 1 to see it initially, 1 to sign paperwork and 1 to get a better idea of decor/measuring/asking lots of questions.

We (my mother and I) also went to a bridal show they were hosting so we got to look around without having to schedule it.

My aunt is the one helping me with all my DIYs so her and my mom wanted to go again to get an idea of how we will decorate. And FH and I are the ones paying for our venue but our parents and my aunt (also my godmother, her husband is my godfather, thier daughter is my MOH and best friend) are very excited for the wedding so i can't get keep them from being involved or excited. That would be cruel. I was wandering how often everybody went to see it before the big day so that I would know if I should feel bad or not bugging my lady (who has always been nice) but so far it seems that going three times isn't bad.

I have not been to my venue yet because I live in another state but FH lives there. It's his ranch and still being fixed up before I move there in June.

I've been about 5 or 6 times. Each time I go it's to put a deposit down. I'm going back in June because the DJ wants to see it, then I'll be back again in August right before the wedding to put the final payment down once we get the final count after rsvps.

We've been there a total of 3 times so far, all for different reasons. The first time was to see it... for the first time. Lol. Before we booked it. The second was for an open house. They do open houses about every 3-5 months it seems like. They have a bunch of vendors come and have tables set up so you can meet with them and discuss possible business with them. Lots of caterers and bakeries and such. It's a really neat idea. (Most of them are vendors on their preferred vendors list.) And the third time was for our engagement photos.

I don't it's a big deal to visit a few times. Especially if it's for a purpose. As long as you schedule with them ahead of time, obviously... I plan on visiting at least another time before I actually meet with my florist and DOC to discuss everything. I need to see what I have to work with when it comes to figuring out decorations and stuff.

We went to church every sunday (I visited it twice for specific wedding planning) and the reception was in our backyard but I brought my parents over once for measuring and planning

Oh I wish we had a ranch or beach backyard that we could have it in. That would be so beautiful and special.

3 total. The first time it was completely gutted for renovation, the second time was so my MIL could see it and we could actually book it, the 3rd time was the week before the wedding to pick a menu and discuss the bar, timing, etc. DH didn't see it until the day of.

Reception venue - Once before we booked. Since then I've seen it twice more, but that's because my wedding planner owns the place and that's where we meet to discuss how everything is going...I'll see it 5 more times before the wedding.

Ceremony Venue- Once

I've been there 4 times so far:

1. When FH and I first scouted it out

2. When we went with my parents to book it

3. The tasting

4. The "mini details" meeting

I'm going in 2 months for the final details meeting and then the Thursday prior to the wedding for the rehearsal.

I saw it first time this past weekend! We will not see it anymore until the wedding. We live 3 1/2 hours away.

4 times-

1. To tour

2. To book it (mom and stepdad went with is)

3. 90-day planning meeting

4. 30-day vendor meeting

(Oh and one other time but that is because we did some engagement pics there)

We have been to the venue 4 times and will be going back soon so my sister can see it (she is doing flowers and decorations), and that will probably be it until rehearsal.

We've been there a couple times, but our venue has a restaurant in the front that my parents like to go to!

I think I already decided that this was my venue when I only saw it online haha. I went to the venue once with my mother and not my fiancé. Then she went back on her own to sign the contract after I discussed it with my fiancé (since we lived out of state and I was no longer there).

I just took my fiancé there for the first time for him and second time for me for about ten minutes and I felt like I wanted them to just let me hang out in the rooms for a couple hours! I didn't want to leave. I visited around 10+ venues and I knew this was the one instantly. We booked it last November, so I will probably peek in a few more times while I'm in the state for whatever planning issues.
