How Long Is Your Engagement?

Hi! We got engaged on August 17 2020 and planned to marry next year, but as many other couples we moved the date because of COVID. I wish you the best wedding day and will everything be as you plan!)

13 months .. we got engaged August 19th 2021 and then got married September 17th … we’ve also been together since 2013 and have 3 kids together so we did it quick since I waited long enough 😂

Purs will be 1 year and 9 months! And it already feels like it's flying lol

Mine is a 14 months planning. Got engaged Jan 28, 2022 then were getting married in 87 days.

4.5 years! I'm grateful for the extra time though.

It will be a year and two days from the engagement to the wedding.

A year and a half! We got engaged November 6, 2022 and get married April 27, 2024!💕

View Quoted Comment I completely agree that each person has their own timeline, and no one's timeline is more "right" than anyone else's! I also agree that you don't owe an explanation to anyone about why you chose to plan your wedding the way you did. For some reason, people seem to love giving unsolicited advice about how people "should" do their weddings. Similar to you, my husband and I had a long engagement (though COVID helped it go from one year to three years). Looking back on it, I honestly am really thankful for the extra time to plan and continue to grow as a couple with my husband. Awesome that the long engagement worked out perfectly for you!
