How long will it be from the day you got engaged until the day you get married? My husband and I originally planned for a one year engagement, but thanks to COVID, it turned into a three year engagement!

Congratulations on your recent engagement!! Sounds like a smart idea to wait until after you graduate before getting married - more time to save up money and focusing your attention on schoolwork. When do you graduate college?

Ugh, sorry to hear that COVID ruined your original plans! I was also supposed to get married in 2020, but we also postponed due to COVID. It honestly worked out for the best. I'm confident that your new date will work out to be exactly what you want!
He proposed on December 6, 2022 and we will be married on May 11, 2024! I know with what everyone went through with COVID, I feel blessed that we will be able to pull off a year and a half engagement

I bet 3 years felt very long! Hope you got to have a beautiful wedding post-Covid. Thanks! Yes I’m finishing up grad school this year so it’s a perfect amount of time! We have our church and venue booked. Also our DJ and photographer. Still on the search for a videographer and of course a catering company, we have someone in mind for catering and just have to do a taste test! Also, exciting news, I found my dress!!

Oh wow, that's a long engagement! Sorry to hear about all the setbacks. But I totally agree - those extra years and challenges just confirm that you two are meant to be together! My wedding also got postponed due to COVID, so I totally understand the frustration of having that uncertainty tossed in the mix. I love the saying that you put on your Save The Dates!

I totally agree that the more time you have to plan, the more time you have to discover new ideas and add more and more things to the wedding, which could throw the whole budget out the window! A year seems like a good length to get the planning done. Awesome that everything turned out well!

Very cool! Are you incorporating the engagement photos into the invitation design? Or printing them and sending a couple with each invite? Either way, I love the idea of sharing the engagement photos with guests!

Oh no, sorry to hear that your bridesmaids had to back out! Payments are a good idea to focus on. Always a good feeling to send in your final payment to a vendor.

Congratulations on your recent engagement!! How exciting! A year and a half is a good length for an engagement. And it seems like everything is pretty much returning to normal now, so hopefully you won't have the COVID pandemic (or any other unforeseen emergency) cause you to delay your wedding. Have you started planning/booking vendors yet?
