How did you meet your fiancé(e)?

We met at the gym at university . There's an indoor track with an arrow that tells you which direction to run. They change it every few days. I knew of this policy and was running the proper direction when some random guy started running the wrong direction. The first time we passed eachother we made eye contact and I wondered if I should tell him that he's running the wrong direction. I opted to not say anything and avoided eye contact the second time we passed so as not to make it awkward. Then the third time we passed eachother he high-fived me. We ran for a few miles, high-fiving eachother every time we passed, until I got tired and stopped to stretch. A few minutes later he stopped as well and after making some small talk he asked for my number. A month or so later, I was dropping a friend off at campus (I commuted) around midnight and I texted him to ask what he was up to. He said he was playing chess with a friend so I went to join them. Around 3am he walked me back to my car, where we stopped to watch the full moon for a bit. We ended up talking in my car until the sun started coming up, when I suggested that we drive to the top of a parking garage to watch it rise over the buildings. That was where we had our first kiss.

We still work out and run together, and we still share plenty of kisses in that car. We've been together for over 2 years now, have both graduated, and are excited to start our lives together.

We met through a friend. I lived in Atlanta and was visiting a friend in Memphis, she introduced the two of us! Dated long distance until I took a leap of faith and moved to Memphis to live with him. It was a bit crazy but here we are, years later, happily married

My FH and I went to the same college but we never spoke to each while there. We didn't hang around the same group of people plus it was a large campus. However, we did follow each other on Instagram and we always liked each other pictures. In 2018 he direct messaged me and our love story began.

We met in middle school (junior high), when we were 12. I had a huge crush on him, but nothing more than friendship ever happened. We started dating our freshman year of high school, but our parents didn't want us getting serious, so that didn't last more than a few months. I was heartbroken. We stayed friendly over the years, but lost touch after high school. Fast forward about 25 years, and we reconnected on Facebook. After talking for a few months, we decided to meet up in person and go out. That was 3 years ago, and we are happier than we've ever been!! I'm so lucky to have reconnected with him.

We met online, sight unseen. I had just taken down my photos and oddly enough, he had taken his down, too. We were both getting ready to delete our profiles and he messaged me out of the blue. We made plans to have appetizers. I told him I couldn't commit to dinner (I was so worried he would have no personality). We met up and I was so relieved he was good looking! But I still had reservations that he would be boring, so I told him I had to leave in an hour to meet my mom. Turned out we had a ton in common and I didn't want the night to end. I kept making up excuses to stay longer, but he was onto me! So he said, "Oh, no. We wouldn't want to keep your mom waiting" and he escorted me to my car. When I got home, I was kicking myself because I knew I'd blown it. But a couple hours later he sent me a text asking what I was doing the next day. We started hanging out almost every day after that.

What's crazy is I had an age limit set up and if a guy was older than that, they couldn't even contact me. He was JUST under the limit. His birthday was 2 weeks after we met and if he'd waited to message me, we never would have met!

View Quoted Comment Lol!! It’s silly but it’s our “thing” and I love it. Funny story... FH proposed on 1/11/19. But the ring was a little too big for my finger. So he took it to get resized. Well, as weeks went by, I felt like it was taking a long time to get resized. But I was patient and didn’t say thing. Well a month later (on February 7th) I went downstairs and the ring was sitting in the box with a note that said “Happy Wally & Marty day. Love Wally”. It felt like the proposal all over again.

I met my FH in a writing class in college. We got locked into a group for a project and things went on from there!

We met in high school (9th grade). I transferred to his high school in the middle of the year. He was actually one of the first people to talk to me and actually be nice to me. A few days into my transfer, my history teacher made me take a map test over the US States even though everyone else had several weeks to study. My fiance had a book cover with the exact map on it and let me cheat with it 😂😂 BUT I actually dated one of his really good friends from the time that we were in 11th grade until we were 20 and then, after that relationship ended, we went on a group vacation together but never hooked up. Afterwards, we both got into long term relationships and ended up not talking at all for a few years (just drifted apart, nothing bad), but by coincidence those relationships ended within a month of each other. We became best friends for about a year and a half before we decided to officially date and it's been amazing ever since 🥰

Your meeting sounds like something from a romantic comedy SO cute

We met on Match.com. We talked for a couple weeks then decided to go on a date. He had just moved to the area from a different state, so we went to eat at a place he knew (since he didn’t know anywhere else). We sat there and ate Greek food (which later I found out he is Greek). It went so well that we decided to extend our date and went to watch Jurassic World. Afterwards, we sat in the vehicle and talked for a couple of hours before finally saying goodnight. Before I even got home, he had already asked about another date! Rest is history!

Hello, I am Georgia. The way I met my fiancee was he movied in as a roommate and became my best friend for 8 years before we started dating. We can actually say we are marrying our best friends.
