I havw always wanted a May wedding, and since we're doing an outdoor wedding, the weather will be perfect. We decided on the day because it was the same number that our first child was born, not the same month though. We thought it could be a special number for us, since our lives had been changed so beautifully on that number day before.
I choose a date based on how I comfortable I felt when it came down to planning and the time and weather I am a DIY bride I wanted to be hands on with my wedding so I chose a date that was convenient enough for me to enjoy being engaged and enjoy working on my wedding but also give me enough timing to really get down to what I want cause we sometimes run to something just cause it was a lower price etc
We picked our wedding date in a month that didn’t have a lot going on. We have a lot of birthdays throughout the year to celebrate and wanted our special day to be one that wasn’t close to any other special occasion. It wasn’t a special day or anything, but it will be special once we are married on that day.

We chose August as we both love the heat and the beach!!! We will be traveling for our dream beach wedding that we have waited so many years for; we have been together for 19 years this coming October !!!!
That too is my wedding date. The date is also our anniversary. Having the wedding on a Thursday was actually the best idea we could have had. We cut the cost by A LOT. We wont have to worry about other weddings going on at the same time as ours so we are also able to utilize the entire venue space and we get to enjoy our honeymoon over the entire weekend when there are more festivities going on.

I'm debating it. I'm not wiccan or pagan. I don't practice wicca - I just practice the craft, so I'm not sure if I'd want to incorporate a pagan practice into the wedding but I do love the idea of it.
I'm a Druid water witch myself, but I have Celtic heritage and like the idea of handfasting, as we're getting legally married before the wedding, so the handfasting at least gives us some sort of ceremony to do at the wedding, haha! Also, we're doing an elemental related unity "ritual" in place of the typical unity stuff.
Our dating anniversary and engagement anniversary are the same date so in the spirit of continuity we decided to stay true to that and host our wedding as close as possible to our date. Since it falls on a Sunday in 2025, we may just shoot for another date that same weekend if we can't secure it. Wish us luck!
We wanted to have a fall wedding. So with that being said, we determined August was our month. Then, upon picking our venue, we decided we wanted to get married on a Saturday. I let my fiancé choose which Saturday—he chose 8/24/24 because it was the easiest to remember haha!

An easy to remember date helps a lot with the planning process! That way you don't have to double check on your calendar- you just know!

Yes, New England fall is GORGEOUS! I'm from NJ, which has pretty foliage too (but obviously not as beautiful as New England), and I LOVE the leaves! Which color leaves are your favorite? I love the reddish orange ones
