How Did You ask your bridesmaids?

Starbucks themed proposal box is weekday I will do.

I took mine out to lunch and gave them wine bottles that read will you be my bridesmaid

I just called mine. Overly complicated "proposals" can backfire. Women who receive one may feel obligated to say yes, even if they have concerns about things like finances--and then you'll get drama closer to the wedding.

View Quoted Comment You make a valid point but I feel asking someone to be in your bridal party with or without a proposal could be hard for that person to say no. I think regardless of the way you do it you can always take the person aside and ask them honestly if they're able to or not. I've had friends just ask a friend and then that person did not do as much as they could have due to other important obligations.


Although it's really up to you and what you want to do. I can agree that maybe a proposal or something special is not the way that you may want to do things and it's simple asking is okay. Only do something special if that is how your personality is. None of the ladies that have ever asked me to be a bridesmaid ever gave me a proposal. I'm only doing that because I'm just extra hahaha.

I did this for my maid of honor & bridesmaid

All of my bridesmaids knew before hand they would be in my wedding because we had talked at length about it, but I still wanted to do something cute and meaningful, so I bought candles with custom stickers, a makeup bag and I gave them a handwritten letter inside the box too.

I am a creative person, so I guess part of me is like i want to do something fun and creative in a sense. But in a way most of them do already know. I guess I wanna officially ask again because we're actually planning our wedding.

Starbucks themed since we all love coffee and starbucks lol. I sent the first msg via my phone and I cannot display profanity but you can guess lol. Got the box and tumbler from Etsy. I am eloping but going to still include them in some way so I wanted to do something nice for my two friends even if my way or marriage is different from the norm ha ha. I think if they know and you want to do something cute then go for it. I feel it is a fun touch. So many ideas via pinterest and etsy. One friend of mine met up at a bridal expo and brunch with her ladies and gave them a personalized card and bottle of champagne or sparkling cider. I think it is a fun touch even if they know ha ha. Some ladies like to be officially ask. Let us know what you choose to do.

I asked all of my girls last Christmas and made them each a proposal box. I made them each boxes with monogrammed mugs that matched our theme, fuzzy socks, and lots of their favorite snacks with a note.

I actually just called 3 of mine too. The fourth one I asked at work. I wanted to do something cute, but I couldn’t wait to ask them. So all that went out the window due to my excitement!

I'm asking for Christmas! I'm giving them these cute boxes I found at the dollar store. I glued a picture to the lid and then put a makeup bag, fuzzy socks, nail polish, a face mask, and pony tail holders that say "I cant tie the knot without you. Will you be my _____?"

I didn't have any creative way and looking back at it I wish I did because that's cute
