here goes some ideas

This is how I’m asking all of my girls.

I know I'm late but since my matron of honor lives in my hometown but my other 2 bridesmais live in my current city I just scheduled brunch/coffee with each individually and asked and presented them with a box I personalized. I'm really artsy/crafty so I love making stuff like this. The outside of the boxes were just white and I painted them with an ombre of our colors.

There's really no way to go wrong

For all bridesmaids I was able to meet in person within a reasonable time frame I put together a small basket with a champagne scented candle, "diamond" bath bomb, fabric swatch of bridesmaid dress, champagne glass with each girl's name on it, and a handwritten note. (I did have to mail one of these off to a bridesmaid I wouldn't be able to see and I just couldn't wait any more lol)

I've been a bridesmaid several times and have gotten the whole range from a lunch/coffee date, sweet card with ring pops, and a group text saying "okay bride tribe let's go!" and honestly how I was asked didn't matter in the moment either way because I was just so excited.

I made boxes for my girls with a letter asking them to be in my wedding. 😊

I did will you be my bridemaids boxes. I put wine glasses a bottle of wine and I cant tie the knot with out you bracelets in the box.

Oh this is so cute!!!

I just sent them a personalized card I made on zazzle. With my cousins, I found pics of when we were younger and used that as the front of the card and wrote a heartfelt letter, asking them.

As one of the posters said, if you gift gifts it may backfire. I had one cousin (who i thought for sure was going to say yes) decline. I wasn't upset that she decline but more how she did it - she was more casual about it. Also, it took me longer to find her picture from old photo albums, so all the work for a casual, "no, i can't be a bridesmaid but have fun" was kinda hurtful.

I was also asked to be a bridesmaid and i got champagne and all these gifts. From that standpoint, I didn't care for the gifts. The thought of being asked was more than enough. Definitely emphasize (when you ask) how special they are to you and why you're asking them. You can be cheeky like, "I need a boss lady to be there when the groomsmen won't help out but most importantly, having you close by is so comforting!"

I ordered these and am giving them to my bridesmaids for Christmas!

All of my bridesmaids(2 are my sisters other 3 are my best friends) essentially know they are my bridesmaids, but I have prepared gifts for them. I’ve made a custom gift bag(ordered off amazon and added vinyl decals) also wine tumblrs with their names and Victoria secret scented lotion that I picked up over Black Friday. My wedding is not until October 2020 so we still have plenty of time.

I did proposal boxes

I bought them all matching necklaces (to wear the day of the wedding) and did handwritten cards for each. I only have 5 BMs so it wasn't too much, but I think it was more personal that way.
