Getting Rid of Old Bridesmaid Dress - Would That Upset You?

I don't see what the problem is, there are always tons of bridesmaid dresses for sale on wedding BST fb pages. I think it would make sense to sell or donate and if she asks let her know someone else is getting to enjoy it now.

Nope. I wouldn't advertise the fact that you're getting rid of it, but it's totally normal to purge your closet from time to time.

I wouldn't be upset at all. I've had to get rid of several. I always donate mine to a local group that provides free prom dresses to high schoolers.

You didn't ask what you can do with it, but just in case: you could try to sell it on Poshmark, Mercari, or a local Facebook wedding group. If it's a popular style/color, maybe another bridesmaid could use it. Otherwise, you could donate it to Goodwill or a local organization. Aren't there organizations that accept dresses that girls can wear to prom? I remember one called Cinderella's Closet, but I don't know if it's still around. Can anyone help me out?

Nope, I have been in 7 weddings and I only have kept 2 dresses. One of which I plan on getting rid of but it is so hideous I feel bad even donating it.

I don't know what would motivate someone to ask about a bridesmaid dress for their wedding that already happened, but no I wouldn't care, especially if you purchased it yourself.

If I was you I would donate the dress, rather than sell it though. Not sure if that's what you were planning on doing, but just thought I'd throw it out there

Honestly, I'm expecting that mine will try to sell theirs, and I am totally fine with it. They can cost an arm and a leg, if you can make some money back, go for it. I'd probably share their posting :p
