Essential or Extra - Videography

Essential. We just got our video back and it was amazing. I didn't remember half the speeches because you're just so overwhelmed and it was amazing to watch our vows. I struggled through mine and missed part of his due to all the trying not to cry. Since it was destination it was also a way to include those who couldn't make it and they've said it captured everything so beautifully.

The day goes by so, so fast. You want everything you can to help you remember it!

A must we have two videographers as well as two photographers. Was one of the most important things.

Im having a friend video record just our vows with my phone and thats it.i feel the pics will last longer bc with all the new technology whos to say we will have dvds or blueray much longer. So i would either have a friend in first row recording or just not at all. Its expensive and if its on your phone you can save it to your google cloud or your icloud and keep it forever. But thats my opinion do what you feel your budget can handle mine i cant afford it id rather spend the money on the food and dress and flowers and extras . I hope that helps.

Extra. We looked into several in the area and we could not justify the cost. We’ve seen some friends and family videos and they just aren’t anything great (and every one of them has regretted it).
However, we will be setting up a camera to capture our ceremony - I do think that is worth having, but no professional needed.

I personally would rather have photos than videography. The only thing I would want recorded really is the vows. Plus with social media and personal cameras someone is bound to catch some special moments worth remembering.

Essential! I know no one ever really watches their wedding but growing up I used to looove watching my parents wedding. I want to make sure if my kids want to watch ours, that it's there.

As of now, we're not planning on having a videographer. We will be having a photographer with an assistant to catch every special moment

I don't think it's absolutely essential but I wanted it so we are having one.

Extra! We'll have photos and memories and guests videos!

Essential. The photos and videos will be a physical reminder of your special day, and it’s nice to have someone there to capture those key moments you can’t get through just a photo.

Extra! I convinced myself it was not worth it despite so many people expressing their regrets of not getting one because it is just not in the budget at all!

I think videography is extra, unless the photographer does it for you.

Extra for me. Pictures are enough.

Essential!! This is what we splurged on! Having a wedding video is so incredibly important to us.

Same here! I'm watching to get a feel of what we want for our video. Our coordinator told us that we can send in videos we like best as inspiration for how we want our video to be edited. Which is awesome because now I can scour the internet and binge a bunch of wedding highlight reels to find my favorites

I could definitely live without hiring a videographer but I would love to have it all captured
