Engagement Ring Bliss

He tried to surprise me last Christmas. We were long distance but I was going to be going to him for Christmas and a few month beforehand he told me he got this really nice room at a really hotel and dropped a couple details about the room. Of course I researched all the hotels in the area and figured out where. He had also gotten all the specifics for the ring from me and kept saying things like "I only got you a small thing for Christmas". All the while he kept saying we shouldn't get engaged until we were no longer long distance. On our way to the hotel on Christmas eve he told me not to go into his backpack and Christmas morning he set up his go-pro to film us opening presents (he thought he was so stealthy). After opening gifts he game me a card with all the reasons he loves me and made me read it out loud and the last line said "I have one little question for you". I put the card down and he was on one knee in tears and asked me to marry him. I scream cried yes and we hugged crying for a solid five minutes before he put the ring on my finger. He had called my parents the morning I flew in to ask their permission since he knew it couldn't be spoiled if I was on the plane. The only bad thing is he didn't charge his go pro so it died and missed the whole proposal! Oh well, I will never forget that moment and his attempts at surprising me.

He called the Monday after last Thanksgiving and said he had to pick up my Christmas gift early and could he give it to me early. I thought ok. He had me sit in the recliner and close my eyes. He said open and I looked at him and he was down on his knee, mind you he has a bad knee because of a gun shot from 30 years ago but there he was down on his knee. He said some of the sweetest, most romantic things i've ever heard and asked me to marry him. I was stunned into silence for a moment and that scared him. He thought maybe he rushed things. I said yes and threw my arms around him. this was 32 years in the making. We had dated in the 80's and found each other again

He asked me on a glacier hike in Patagonia. Total surprise and I was so shocked that I don’t remember any of the proposal and all I could do was focus on being able to overcome the shock to say yes. Our tour guide took pictures during the proposal which was really great!

My FH asked me on a random Saturday morning, which was perfect because I didn’t see it coming. I heard him go downstairs (he was getting the ring out of his safe) and when he came back up stairs, he came into the kitchen and got down on one knee, and said my name. I turned around and I was absolutely caught off guard as he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him! What made it more wonderful was the fact that all of our boys were there to witness it!! I have a 10 year-old son, and he has a 12 year-old son and a 14 year-old son. We had both been married before so we wanted to take things slow with our relationship. We have been together almost 9 years so it was a long time coming!!

We were taking a mini vacation for a long weekend to Boston given we both had a week off from work. I planned the vacation booked the hotel and all. He picks me up to leave and I look on my email to look up the address of the hotel and I see his number was changed on our itinerary. It was originally mine since I booked it. I questioned him and he was very calm and said “dana you used my credit card so must have put in my cell number.” I think nothing of it and I’m like oh that makes sense. We get to the hotel at the front desk the people ask us what the occasion is and we just say time off from work or whatever we say. And when I get into the hotel room I see champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and written in rose petals it says “Will you...” and I turn around and he is on one knee and says whatever he says *i cant remember cause I was balling my eyes out”

So I was 9 months pregnant and he was giving me a back massage .... it was Christmas and he said sit up for a minute .... I was like why .... he was like I got something for you .... I was like okay .... he hands me a pandora box.... so i think it's a pandora charm .... then i notice him getting all giddy and all weird he tells me to open it .... I am like now I can't.... I figured out what it really was .... I was afraid to open it for some reason .... and I finally open it .... he tells me it was his mother's from her first marriage to his dad .... I started crying it was so sweet

It was a Friday night and he had just gotten home from work a little after midnight, and I was sleeping because I had to be up for work early the next morning. He had said he was going to try and do something elaborate but decided that he was too excited to wait (he had picked up the ring that day!). He woke me up, and asked me "would you do me a favor, and spend the rest of your life with me?" Mind you, I was still half asleep so the only thing that came out of my mouth was "wtf?!" followed by a sleepy "well, duh!" The entire method of how it all transpired is spot on with how our relationship is: slightly spontaneous and brutally honest!

This is the entire ring; the engagement ring is the solitaire in the middle and we used the wrap around it as the wedding band. We got legally married this past June due to his grandpa being ill, and had it fused together so it's one solid ring. I'm definitely excited for the vow renewal ceremony and the big reception we're planning to rightfully celebrate with all of our friends and family!

He proposed at the Ice Castles in Silverthorn, CO. We had spent the whole day holding hands, sipping hot chocolate and walking around the ice castles, then I grabbed his hand and pulled him into one of the tunnels so I could steal a kiss. LOL Afterwards he pulled me close for a slow dance, there was music playing from somewhere and he started talking about how much he loves me and loves us and our future; then he got down on one knee and proposed! Everything about it was perfect and magical and just, everything, it was everything. I love that man so much! And next month I will finally be his wife.

We went on a hike to a beautiful waterfall. He explained the meaning of "I love you to the moon and back" and then asked me. He was still in the process of picking the diamond and creating the ring, but the moment was perfect. And this ring was worth waiting for!!!

We went to an escape room and he already had it set up for the ring to be inside a door on the last clue. I opened it thinking a key was in it and it was the ring. I turn around and he’s on one knee 😍

I was pranked....on my birthday weekend lol I was told we were going to dinner for my bday but had to wait on my present. I instantly knew what was happening so I obsessed to the point of watching bridesmaids the day of dinner. Fiance goes to pick up my present and comes back with what is definitely NOT A RING BOX and I proceed to bawl my eyes our crying because after 8 and a half years (most of which we were in high school and very broke after HS) I still was not engaged or anything. Fast forward to dinner I open my present which was a GoT trivia game and a very sappy apology/bday card promising one day it will happen. After dinner we are walking around with his family and we were taking a bday pic together I look over and he is on one knee with the ring... I said yes and may have called him a name and the rest is history 😂

I got engaged on June 2,2018 he called me early that Saturday morning for me to get ready that he want it to take me to the beach and have lunch in this place that they opened in the beach. So I got my self ready when we where in the beach he told me that he want it to go horse riding and I told him that he was crazy that I was wearing a dress that I wasn’t going to ride a horse in a dress, he end it up proposing to me in the parking lot in his truck it was amazing.I didn’t said yes after few minutes later that he asked me what was my answer lol I was in tears the hole time... ♥️❤️

I didn’t really get much of a proposal. We were just sitting at home one day and I was very upset with him. He was in tears and told me he’d love for me to be his wife if I’ll have him. I didn’t answer until a few days later. In the meantime, he even asked my mom for my hand in marriage. After I made him squirm a bit, I said “yes”. So we picked out a ring later and here it is...

My proposal was so much more beautiful and perfect than I could have ever imagined! My fiancé and I were together for 4 years at the time, and we just bought our first time together. A year after buying our first home, we decided to host a family Christmas party for both families. My fiancé and I agreed we wanted to take a family photo! So my FH set up the camera to take the photo. When we all lined up, we took a real photo, and my uncle unexpectedly said “let’s do a funny face photo!” Which my FH took the opportunity to secretly change the camera from photo to video, and when we came back to all of us to “get in the picture”, he pulled out the ring, got down on one knee and said “in front of the people we love, in the house we built together. I would like to ask you, to marry me”. And I burst into tears and said yes! I still watch the video and if anyone is curious - he asked my dad permission, but NO ONE else knew! There are about 30 people in the party, and only my dad and FH Knew the intention
