Do any of you ladies have a plan? Married ladies, how much did you drink? Based on a thread yesterday, several married ladies regret not drinking enough...but I'm wondering, where that is? My tolerance is pretty bad lately (4 drinks and I'm feeling like death the next day) so I'm want to have a...

My tolerance is pretty bad lately (4 drinks and I'm feeling like death the next day) so I'm want to have a plan, but still loosen the nerves. Any thoughts?

FH and I will definitely be drinking quite a bit on our wedding day. My limit is about 6 double drinks and some shots. I highly doubt that our venue will allow for shots, so I will stick with just a few drinks. I've never had a real hangover before, so hopefully the day after the wedding will be fine!

I'll drink some but not a ton because I want to be able to remember my wedding day! I don't want to wake up on Sunday with a hangover on the first official day as husband and wife. That would put me in a horrible mood. We will both be drinking water the last couple hours of the night because we are driving ourselves to the hotel.

@FutureMrsWatson please reconsider driving, getting pulled over in a wedding dress regardless if you had one drink or 9 will pretty much guarantee a ticket/breathalyzer etc..

E=mc2: We both aren't drinkers. So I will have maybe 2 glasses of champagne at the beginning and be done. We will both be completely sober when we drive to the hotel 4 hours later. If not, we will enlist someone else to drive us.

Thanks for the advice Smiley smile

@Valarie - Sometimes stairs can be pretty difficult. I've passed out on my way up them more than a few times lolol.

I have a much bigger problem here...ASIAN GLOW! Both me and FH turn almost instantly red after a few sips. We don't want to look red in all of our pictures, so we'll have to save the drinking till the last hour or so :\

We aren't drinking anything before the ceremony, because I always get glassy eyed and I don't want to look like that in pictures. I'll probably have a few glasses of wine during the reception, but I haven't really put much thought into it. I know I don't want to get drunk, it's an afternoon wedding, but I do want to drink a little bit.

Joyce, FH turns all red and splotchy when he drinks! Don't even worry about it. If you have more professional, formal pictures taken earlier in the day, don't even worry about the reception pictures. You're going to look beautiful anyway!

I'll definitely be drinking, but not before the ceremony, and not too much during the reception. I want to remain coherent and want to remember every single moment.

Wow, guys...sometimes I think I drink a lot, but apparently not.

I had a glass of wine at my reception and I didn't finish it because some OOT family came over to say hi and then we were dancing. DH didn't have anything.

If I'm pregnant I'm not drinking at all! (We plan to stop trying to prevent soon) But, if I'm not, I'm definitely drinking. I want to be put together still, but I plan on enjoying some wine and cocktails

I have a pretty high tolerance. I will definitely have two mimosas before the ceremony to calm my nerves, then likely 1 glass of wine per hour throughout the reception.

H and I (and our friends and family) are also big drinkers but for some reason at the wedding my stomach was in knots! I managed one signature drink and then the only thing I could handle was champagne - the bubbles calmed my stomach. I told my DOC and she brought me "bottle service" to the table so I'm sure I had quite a few glasses of champagne lol.

I plan of having a glass of wine before the wedding haha, I'll need something!

We are getting married in Vegas and we are all going out that night. I'm sure far too many drinks will be had.

In the morning I drank tons of water. Skipped my morning coffee too. First alcohol drink was like at 2:30ish in bridal suite ...drank like half. 2nd drink ...3/4 of a tequila sunrise (sig drink ) after ceremony with my new husband Smiley smile

Next it was champagne toast (2 glasses at table ...mixed with dinner ..& a glass of light wine ) 3rd champagne during cake cutting. Then a shot of whiskey. I really didn't feel drunk the next day , & surprisingly didn't even have to pee until we got to hotel. Lol. I did eat during day , not to mention hydrated well in morning.
