Dress with built in corset - Bra Needed?

Tiffany, on May 19, 2011 at 8:37 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

My dress has a built in corset and I am wondering if I should purchase any type of bra to wear underneath. I am small (34B) so wouldn't mind some extra "push up" but I don't want to add extra bulk/lines. Any advice what works best?

Honey, if I were a 34 B, I'd skip it. I'm a 32 HH, so I'm not at all comfortable without a bra, but even so my seamstress suggested the possibility. Some double sided tape to ensure the placement you want will probably cover it.

Depends on your bra size. Mine has a built in corset, and I am wearing a bra. I am a full 34C and the corset doesnt support the girls well.

I had the same question too, Tiffany.

    My dress has a built-in corset....and I also need that additional push-up.

Krystal - thx for the advice, I should ask them about sew-in bras

I have a built in corset... I'm a 36 DD and I'm not wearing one... I guess it depends on the dress and how much it supports you.

I have a built in corset and at a 42DD, I am not wearing one...no room for it and the support is amazing.

I am a 38DD. The corset in my dress does the job and I will not be wearing a bra as well! YAY! I'm so happy about that!! lol I'd say if you feel that the dress supports you enough then I wouldn't wear one. But if the dress isn't quite snug enough for you to feel comfortable without a bra then I think it will be fine to wear one.
