James and I joke that we're the people on the Chemistry.com commercials. I got 'chemistry' free from my 'match' subscription and had been using the two sites off and on for a couple of years. James found me floating around online and decided to say hello. After an almost disastrous bout of the flu on my end of things (he almost gave up on me when I dropped off the face of the earth), we had our first date on Feb. 29, 2008.  (So technically we'll have our first wedding anniversary just six months after our first dating anniversary!) We started spending lots of time together early on. James would metro out to Vienna, where I would pick him up, or I would drive up to Arlington to see him. I think we were both a little shocked at how quickly we got attached to each other. :) After James graduated and took the bar exam that summer, he moved in with my parents until he could find a job. Finding that job took a bit longer than we expected, but we couldn't have asked for a better result in the end. We work within 15 minutes of each other now, and often have lunch together during the summer.  We've been so blessed this year: James started a great new job, we bought a house, and (of course) now we're engaged. :) Sometimes I can't believe how lucky we were to find each other!
