We are getting Married 10/28/18. Our date has some special meaning. We got engaged on 10/2/17 so we both knew we wanted to have our wedding in October on a Sunday for Religious reasons. We are in a Long distance relationship so are special travel dates to see each other is Always the 28 of each month. So this wedding date means alot to both of us. I can't wait to Marry my King on 10/28/18
I wanted a quick turnaround once we decided to start to plan a wedding. My FH, freaked out when I announced I wanted a March/April wedding (it would have been 4-months of planning which for me is ideal.) "It's too soon," he said. I made him pick a month. He picked October and he picked Saturday. My siblings and my mom have birthdays the last two weekends of the month so I crossed those out. My FMIL was worried about the unlucky implications of choosing the 13th as a wedding day, so we chose the 6th.
It didn't mean anything, but I realized we closed on our condo 10/5/17, so we will have owned our place for 1 year.
I just wanted my numbers to add up and we ultimately decided we wanted to have it in April as it was off season and our wedding venue ended up being about $4k cheaper! We chose 4/14/18 as the month + day = the year. We’re almost there now! 😍
We based it around my spring break because we both agreed we didn't want a summer wedding, but that left us with very few options with my teacher schedule. March 31, it is!
Yes and no to significance. We started dating 1.8.11 and he proposed 12.10.16. I had always wanted to get married in October but when we actually got engaged October wasn’t feasible being wedding season and more expensive, especially because I began school again. The end of the year is my favorite time- love Christmas time and winter so I began looking at Saturday dates. 12.8 is a Saturday and we thought it’d be perfect- 1 month prior to our dating anniversary and just two days shy of when we got engaged. The 8th will be easy for him to remember too!
No special meaning, it was just what was available at the venue, while accommodating a VIP's schedule. We chose December because of personal preference and for a certain feel we wanted. It wasn't my first choice to get married so close to Christmas, but we just sent STDs and everyone is very excited.
We wanted our wedding on our 7 year anniversary (8.30.18) but that day doesn’t fall on a Friday or Saturday. So we started to look at the Saturdays around the same time and we found that the 18th fell on a Saturday and I fell in love with the date 8.18.18! Now we decided to just celebrate our 7 year anniversary on our honeymoon! 💕
Mine will be a string of three primes (7.13.19) but we wanted a summer wedding and had a lot of avoid dates (like birthdays, other anniversaries, and the anniversary of my fiancés father's death) so it was down to three summer weekends and this was the closest to the date we got engaged (7.7.17)
Our wedding day is March 1st 2020. March 1st was my nana's bday. I lost her to cancer at a young age. Sharing her day will make our wedding day all the more special.
We chose October 21, 2017 because we wanted our own day without it being near holidays or birthdays. I did happen to be sweetest day we noticed after we picked the date.
