My wedding date will be my grandparent's anniversary. I was close to them growing up and want to honor their memory by sharing the date. September 22, 2018.
Very special meaning. Both of our fathers passed away on the 25th of 2 different months. (Groom= October 25,2009; Bride=December 25,2014) and because they could be there we wanted a special way to honor them. So we decided to do October 26th,2019 cause it's the only FALL/WINTER Saturday of that year that was close to the 25th.
We picked our date because our anniversary already falls on the 22nd. 22 is his favorite number and my favorite is 18. So we had two dates in 2018 that would work, 09.22.2018 or 12.22.2018, we went with September so the weather would be better

8-18-18. All infinities. Because he is marrying me forever. Lol
I told my fiancé to choose a date and he chose the anniversary of when we bumped into eachother. He’s extremely sentimental about things like that. I felt horrible that he remembered it and I only knew the month we met.
FH is a software engineer and I’m a mathematics major, so we’re pretty geeky. We wanted a date in 2020 so we have ample time to save and plan, plus I’ll be living in the same state as him by that point to make planning easier. We realized 3.14 is a Saturday in 2020 and our dream venue was available, so we’ll be getting married on Pi day!
I inherited my grandmother’s engagement and wedding rings from Cuba, so it was really important to me to get married on what would have been their anniversary, June 30th. That’s high season, but we found a venue that could accommodate
Our original date was set for September 21st 2018. That had no special meaning I just always wanted to get married in September although it is my nephew's bday and we didn't realize that until we had to move our date. When we moved it, it did go to a date that has special meaning. It's our anniversary of when we started dating. It will 7 years we been together the day we get married. Also it is my sister's birthday...in my family it's hard to work around everyone's birthday. We both have big families plus she said she didn't mind.
My date 4/20/20 was choose because that was the day my FH realized I loved him. We took his truck mudding 4/20/16 and 5 mins into the date we got stuck and broke the truck. I told him that it was okay that we were stuck in a mud hole for 3hrs because it was 3hrs I had his complete attention, so he wanted that date to get married on. Plus 20/20 vision is perfect that was what chose the year.
Our date is the 17th anniversary of my mom's passing. I really wasn't thinking of that until I saw it was a Saturday in April of next year and knew it would be an awesome way to honor her.
We picked June 24 ,18 bc we got engaged on June 17, 16 and we wanted our anniversaries in the future be around the same time. We can take the whole week off and partying.
We wanted an outdoor wedding in June and my grandparents wedding anniversary was was June 23 which happened to be a Sat this year. Grandpa died shortly after we were engaged and grandma died years ago. We thought it'd be a nice tribute.
I always wanted a Columbus weekend wedding and Columbus Day happen to fall on 10.08.18 which I thought was unique! I like the sequence of the numbers. LOL... Also..... IT'S ON MY DAD'S BIRTHDAY!!!! I'M SO EXCITED TO HAVE HIM WALK ME DOWN THE AISLE ON HIS BIRTHDAY!!!
My wedding day is on the anniversary of my engagement. I think it’s a great way to commemorate one of the happiest days of my life....the day he asked me to be his wife...by actually becoming his wife on that day
Yes- we selected a date that added up to the Number 8. Its my Pacific Islander - Native American- Chinese superstition. When an 8 is turned on its side- it resembles an Infinity symbol. I know for some it sounds so weird but it works for us.
