FW and I started dating August 25th of 2016, then she proposed December 25th of 2017. She wanted to keep the 25th pattern going, and I wanted a fall month because the wedding is outside, so we chose October 25th 2020

Nope, we needed a weekend that i knew there would be no school (Saturday classes for my masters) and we didn't want wait a long time to get married, engaged on NYE. So we picked MLK day next year which is 1/19/19. I love it and don't want to change it for any reason Smiley smile

We originally were going to do March 24th, 2018 so we could go away for our honeymoon right after while our kids were on spring break, but the venue we loved was booked for that date already. They told us they had the Saturday's on either side of that available, March 17th, 2018 or March 31st, 2018. We opted to take the March 17th date since we are both part Irish and said it's another good excuse to drink that day. We also didn't want the 31st as it might cause issues for us the next morning, as well as done of our friends and families who have small children, since Easter is the following day. My youngest still believes in the Easter bunny. So a St Patrick's day wedding it is for us! 17 days left!

We are Catholic and they won't marry is during Lent, so we went with April 27th, as the first Saturday after Easter. Also our venue was almost $3,000 less as April was "out of season." No significance to us before that.

Originally, I thought it would be neat to be married on our anniversary the year after he proposed, (11/1/18) but that would have been a Thursday, and having it the next day or the weekend would have been too close for me. I don't know why it bothered me, it just did. But as it turns out, our date (9/21/18) has no special meaning to it (yet), but September is when we met and fall is special for us, so there's that!

We really wanted a September wedding. There was one date that both the venue and church had available so that is how we picked it. It is a special date to us now!

No special meaning, just the date that was available. I actually said that it is very weird to arbitrarily pick a day we will celebrate forever.

We started dating 5/5/05. I like odd numvers. Didn't want to do 7/7/07 as husband's birthday is also in July. Fall is my favorite season so we got married 9/9/09. We're having a vow renewal on our 9 year anniversary.

We picked November 4th because our first date was November 2nd and we got engaged on November 6th, so it's right in the middle of those.

Our wedding date is the 8th of June as well as our wedding time, which adds to 8. His and his fathers baseball numbers were 8.

No particular meaning behind our wedding date. We’re getting married aboard a cruise ship, so we have to legally get married before “getting married” on the ship. We’re going to try and do it on our dating anniversary and then after the cruise ship wedding decide whether we would like to celebrate our anniversary on our courthouse/dating anniversary or the cruise ship ceremony date.

Our wedding date (5/25/18) is four years after our first date. And I'm terrible with dates. On occasion, I forget my own birthday.

We picked 9/21/2019. 9/21 is both our dating anniversary and our proposal date. Kept it nice and easy so we only have one date lol

Hello date twin lol! I didn’t know that about the sweetest day! I was thinking about having a candy bar as an edible favor with take home boxes and The Sweetest Day would be perfect written on a wooden or chalkboard sign on the table (the decor is rustic). Thanks for the info!
We only choose that day because FH wanted a fall wedding this year and it’s the only Saturday that isn’t someone’s birthday

We chose our date for purely practical reasons. We needed to wait until school was out because of my job, but we wanted to get married in early summer since I was moving to where he lived after the wedding. There were two weekends in June that we had to choose from, and we went with June 12th. It's very special to us now, but it wasn't before it became our wedding date.

That's crazy though I'd be so mad because I would probably lose deposits and have to find all new vendors! I only started planning 5 months ago and everything big is now booked. That makes me shudder lol...if I got that call right now I'd lose it.
