Does your FH wear his ring yet?

My FH is waiting to wear his... just like i'm waiting to wear my wedding band. i think that is customary.

My FH isn't. (We don't have our bands yet), but my best friend/MOH's FH is wearing his.

We went shopping for my FH ring when I took my e-ring to be resized a week after he purposed. He got his in last week and has been wearing it. Wedding isn't for another year! lol Guess it just depends on if they want to wear it as their "Man-gagement" ring or not.

I'm glad he's eager to wear it.

My DH has two rings, the work ring and the dress ring. He wore neither until we were married. During hte honeymoon he wored both. Actually, he hid the rings from me because I kept "trying on' my ring.

While we were engaged, he switched his "promise ring" or "committment ring" I gave him years ago to his left hand. Prior to engagement, he wore it on his right hand. It is a sterling claddagh ring. You need to point the heart towards your heart to show everyone you are taken.

I got my FH a ring, when we were dating, and he has always worn a ring on his left hand so girls would stay away from him!! LOL No, I just felt better with him having a ring on his hand when I would be in Chicago and he would be in NY and he got me a promise ring and I wore that on my left hand also... I plan to buy him a different one for the wedding.

We have his ring, but he's waiting to wear it after we are married.

My brother wore a "mangagement" ring.

I asked FH if he wanted a ring, or some kind of mangagement gift like a watch or something. He wasn't into it, he's not a big jewelry guy. I don't think he's all that interested in wearing a wedding band either, but I know he will.

I think claddaugh rings are so cool!

Nope my FH is waiting until it is blessed at our Catholic ceremony. He is very adamant about following certain traditions.

My fh is so adorable. He is so excited about wearing a ring. But no he isn't wearing it. I won't let him. I want him to wear when we get married. But he's tried it on a few times when it's just us at home.

Carole--that's so funny about "trying it on"--I did the same thing! Ours were custom made, and I just wasn't sure mine fit when it came in, and was afraid nothing could be done about it. I kept trying it on for a few hours at a time-like they told me to at the jewelry store, -cuz it just didn't feel "right"--I decided something had to be done, so I took it back, and they were able to "compress" it in a machine--shaved off half a size in about 60 seconds! Never heard of such a thing! Now its perfect--and keeping myself from "trying it on" is next to impossible. The day we got the wedding bands, we wore them around the house all day and slept with them on. Wow!!! what a feeling! As far as I know, he hasn't had his on since then.

My FH is waiting. He works at an auto shop, so he doesn't want to ruin it.

DH wanted a 'promise' or 'committment' ring when we got engaged, so he wore that up until the wedding. It was actually pretty funny during the ceremony he forgot to take the old one off so we had this awkward fumble moment when I tried to put the new one on top lol. If your FH is already wearing one, make sure he takes it off before the ceremony!

I heard it was bad luck to wear it before the wedding so when FH asked if he could wear it I said he should wait tell the wedding

We haven't even gone to look at rings for FH but I am hoping he will want to wait until we are married.

We haven't gotten his ring yet, but he won't wear it until we're married anyway. And even after that he probably won't wear it because he can't wear jewelry at his job.

Thanks everyone! I was certain that most guys wore theirs before the wedding. Now its doesnt feel so akward that he doesnt lol

FH put his on right away, he loves it! But we aren't so conventional about such customs I'm also not getting a band so technically, I'm wearing my wedding ring.
