Our story began in 2004. Dave and I met online (cupid.com) and talked for a couple weeks through instant message & on the phone. It only took him mentioned his motorcycle once to get me to go on a date with him though. To tell you the truth I though, "hey I might have a lousy time but I'll be on the back of a bike so at least I'll enjoy that." We had our first date. It was adorable lol. We walked around the mall (he bought me a tongue ring) & went to see Shrek 2 (lol). We ended the night at Steak 'N Shake & then to his place for another movie. It was a good time, certainly the best date I've ever been on. Not because it was so romantic (which it wasn't) but because I felt so at ease with him. He was funny and laid back and didn't care that I had a almost 2yr old son waiting for me at home; probably because he had an almost 2yr daughter and an almost 9yr old son waiting for him :). We just worked. It wasn't long after our first date that my son and I moved in with him. We moved too fast and paid the price several times over. But we worked through it. We've both grown up and together all at the same time. Our proposal story isn't very exciting. We bought my engagement ring simply because I saw it and wanted it (or so he says ;) ). Soon after I simply said, "We should get married." To which he replied "No." -- party pooper. I wated about a month and finally just said, "Look, I'm changing my status on facebook to engaged and you can like it or lump it." So he said, "fine". I think because he had already proposed once and we broke up it was easier for him to do it this way. And that's fine with me. It'll be something we can tell our grand-children (and they'll ask "what the crap is facebook grandma?" lol). We were supposed to get married Sept. '11 but he started school so we pushed it back until Spring '12. It only makes sense right? So that's our story. Exciting? No. But it's our fairytale :)
