Table number holder thaaaangs

Mrs. Boat, on February 2, 2011 at 10:53 AM Posted in Planning 0 28

Y'all, for real. I'm cheap.

So, now that we got THAT out of the way... where have you found affordable table number holder stuffs?

All I pop up are $14.99 FOR EACH dang stick with a base and a ring at the top to hold the card. Not cool.

I need the tall ones because tent numbers or shirt stick ones will look crowded at the table.

Help me please? Have you gotten yours?

Here is a pic of what I want:

I got mine for about $1 a piece on ebay. They look like yours but with a square bottom.

We were lucky, we stumbled into ours at a party store that was going out of business. We need 8 more. Here is the site I plan on using.

    http://www.displays2go.com/Product.aspx?ID=15246 They have the 12" for $2.29

Also, Wilton makes a smaller more bridal like set that I saw in Michaels. They were only 8" tall and had a ball on the bottom. They were not sturdy.

My wedding planner purchased ours, but she said she was going to get them from a company that sells mass restaurant gear. Or whatever you call it, lol. Because they look just like menu holders. Maybe look into that.

Check with your venue... I know ours includes them for free. Otherwise check on ebay... you can find some great deals on there.

I got mine from a former bride on Craig's List. I'm planning to wrap them in ribbon and make them my own.

Check around, there should be lots of places to find them cheaper than retail (just like everything else for a wedding!).

I was at Savers (discount thrift shop) and they had a them there for .50 for 5. I'm sure that's kind of rare but you may want to check out a thrift store they may have them.

My Bro-in-Law made mine from a picture I found online.... out of heavy gauge wire. I wish I had a picture....

Total cost for 12 was under $10

Check restaurant websites (like places that sell to restaurants), I found some for like $4.

Those were not the exact ones that were made.... but ones made were done out of wire found near the electrical stuff at Lowes. He said that it took a few trys to get it down.... he used something to wrap the wire around to get a smooth look.

Are you going to have a floral or feather arrangement centerpiece? If so, one idea I found was just to tape or attach somehow the cards to the vase. Thats what I planned on doing until I ordered table numbers that fold so they hold themselves up.
