Yeah that sounds unprofessional of him .I would go look for someone else.

There is no way I would want that man/woman marrying FH and I. A wedding is supposed to be a happy affair, not a "controlled" one.

Thanks ladies all will be well I am sure. However part 2 of the story is that 2 reviews of him have been posted on yelp in the past 10 days and they are AWFUL. Apparently he demanded more money on the day, even going so far as to tell one couple an hour before their ceremony, while showing them the certificate, you're married on paper so if you decide not to give me an extra $200 you're still married. WOW! We've had a lucky escape. The lord does indeed work in mysterious ways....

He sounds like a crazy person. I'm glad to hear you found this out now!

I tried to leave a review on WW but I can't till after the wedding date which clearly he won't be part of. Oh well hopefully people will check yelp.

That is dumb. I love working with good coordinators; they make my life easier!!!

He sounds like a moron to me. Maybe you should ask him if HE wants to take care of all of that. Let him know HOW much it entails.

Update.... the Reverend emailed me today with regard to my "disparaging words" on yelp and advised me that he has requested yelp give him the right to reply. But in the meantime perhaps I "may want to just end this by removing the different postings you have initiated"

You are completely entitled to write about your experience with him so that others may benefit from your input when making their decisions about whose services to untilize in planning one of their most important days.

Certainly he may be permitted to rebut, however, the person who may come off as petty here probably won't be you.

Especially when there are OTHER reviews also stating how terrible he is.

That's crazy. You still have plenty of time to find a better officiant. I am using an officiant that was recommended to me by my DOC. They have worked together for several other weddings, so everything should be a breeze. Maybe your coordinator can recommend someone?

Forget that officiant....move on....you have so much time. I am sure there are MANY willing officiants out there who would love to do it.
