I know the location of your wedding makes a difference when it comes to the costs of catering; however, I was curious what your costs are and what that includes. It might also be nice for future users to see this thread down the line so they can get an idea of what to expect price-wise, as catering should really be at least 50% of your budget.

So to make it simple...

1. How much are you paying per person?

2. What h'orderves does it include? (If any: passed / stationed)

3. What dinner does it include? (buffet or plated / # courses / # of different choices)

4. Does it include alcohol?

5. What type of cuisine is it?

6. (optional) What is your location?

- I'll start us off! -

1. $60

2. 6 passed apps

3. Buffet / 6 meal options

4. No

5. American

6. Connecticut

We did a package deal with a venue and food/drink together. We're using the Warwick Allerton Hotel downtown, super happy with them so far!

Your cost is the same as mine! My sides are different and my price includes fruit and cheese platters served while we are taking pics and a small platter for bridesmaid and best men while getting ready. Also my price includes tea, lemonade, coffee, water. My venue(church) has a caterer on staff and we are getting a great reduction because we are using caterer, dj, and decorator from church as well. I have 4 days and my stomach stays upset! I'm so excited!!

From what I’ve gathered from previous posts on WW.. I thought for a wedding to be black tie you are suppose to host a sit down dinner w multiple entree options.. so with that said, stations can’t be considered black tie ??
