Hey brides! Did you go ring shopping with your fiancé or did they go and pick it out the ring on their own? My fiancé picked out a ring for the proposal and then we went ring shopping together for my engagement ring.
Hey brides!
Did you go ring shopping with your fiancé or did they go and pick it out the ring on their own? My fiancé picked out a ring for the proposal and then we went ring shopping together for my engagement ring.

I like it because he loves it and I love him. I don't think the ring is ugly by any means BUT it feels more like "his" ring as oppose to something that reflects me, my taste or my personality.

I talked to him about it right after I got it and although he was a little angry and hurt, he understood so we agreed I could upgrade after 5yrs. From the proposal that is 2.5 years left!!!
I showed him pictures of what I wanted and even put Pinterest on his phone so he could see my board. But I wanted to go try some on just to make sure I liked the style in the pictures in person. We went together so I could just try some on and I didn’t know what he was going to end up choosing. He did settle on one that I had looked at and tried on, but I didn’t actually tell him to get that specific one.
My fiancé picked out my ring on his own. We talked about the style I wanted and I looked at a picture or two but I was surprised. He has found taste so I knew before he opened the box that it would be nice and it was!!
I picked it out and my FH was very grateful about it. He says he would have had no idea which to get me. Even though we've been together for 6 years, but thats neither here nor there. I'm sure he also appreciated that I picked out an inexpensive ring and had everything pretty much laid out for him to order. LOL. What would I do without you Babe? But the proposal itself was very much a surprise.
I found mine on Etsy years before we got engaged, saved it, and made sure a few friends had the link.
...After a while, one friend got tired of waiting for him to ask for it, dropped it in his DMs, and essentially kicked him in the rear.
He got it. And it didn't come in time for the proposal, so he borrowed the ring of another friend who had just had a baby (talk about good vibes!), and then I got the real ring a few days later.

I picked out my own ring. I work with my hands a lot and I prefer simpler rings without much height so that the stones don't get caught on things. My fiance thinks the ring I chose is too small, but I love my ring. I've worn it for 6 years and now I finally get to start wearing the matching wedding band on April 25th.
I wanted him to pick mine and see what he thought would represent me, and his choice blew me away it is so perfect. The only criteria I gave him were I like silver > gold, and circle/square cut > oval/rectangle. I'm so happy with mine!
