Florida is hot often so depends on when you're getting married. Taxes should not be a factor but depending on the location will depend on the cost of venues and what not. If you're getting married from June - November have a rain site. Any particular city?

What part of Florida are you looking at for your wedding? We got married on the beach in Clearwater and it was beautiful but I will tell you that be prepared for all of the things you need to get to the venue. We ended up driving 2 cars packed with things. I could have never flown with all of the stuff we had Make sure you have a coordinator to help since you will not in the area. Florida can be beautiful in October but it’s also hurricane season so have a back up plan for inside. Good luck.

The biggest tip I’d have for you is to hire a wedding planner in Florida. That way, they can handle all of the big stuff and you will have the luxury of them being there to see things first hand and relay information back to you.
