We are trying to stick to $3500 dollars with a 80 person guest list.

My mom has offered to pay the dress and my father is paying for the venue

    Officiant -$50

Invitations $130 (FH is a graphic designer and making these)

    Bouquets and Bouts $130 (HyVee)

    Centerpieces and ceremony decor $400

    Favors $200 (unsure what yet)

    Grooms tux $120

    Cake $320

    Photography $500

    Catering $1175

That only equals $3025 so we have a 500 dollar margin for error

Our budget was $10,000. Total expenses were almost exactly that number, calculated as follows:

    * Ceremony (rabbi, synagogue, marriage license, waiver of three-day waiting period, chuppah, ketubah, decorations, glass for breaking, mezuzah from shards of wedding glass) $4,055.14

    * Attire (dresses, alterations, undergarments, shoes, jewelry, opera gloves, purse, garters) $1,398.63

    * Ring (the one I bought for NotFroofy; she gave me one she inherited from her grandmother) $155.00

    * Reception (venue rental, food, open bar, centerpieces, plates, flatware, glasses, dancing shoes, uplighting, paper lanterns) $2,152.69

    * Hair and make-up (once for both of us for the ceremony and luncheon, and again for both of us for the at-home reception) $220.00

    * Flowers (bouquets, bout, freeze-dried rose petals) $274.98

    * Photography (professional photographer for ceremony, supplies for DIY fauxtobooth at reception) $570.62

    (cont.)

*Accommodations (for us for one night so we could get the marriage license and the waiver of the three-day waiting period, and for us and all our guests for the night before the wedding and the wedding night) $939.00

    * Stationery (invitations, programs, photo sharing cards, postage) $288.68

    TOTAL $9,899.00

Our budget is $50K. These are rough but should give a good idea of the breakdown:

-Venue: $30K (includes ceremony, cocktail, and reception spaces; hors d'oeuvres; three-course dinner; premium bar package; tables, chairs, and linens)

    -Cake: $900

    -Photog: $4K

    -All attire and accessories: $2K

    -DJ: $800

    -Flowers and lighting: $6K

-Custom dance floor (the dancing area is concrete): $1K

    -Paper stuff (invites, etc.): $2K

    -Officiant: $650

-Beauty (hair, nails, makeup for all): $1K

Then everything else makes up the rest... guest book, the "favors" (a donation to the humane society), card box, etc.

Our budget is $25,000.. some of this isn't finalized, but most is (with deposits and whatnot already made and prices locked in:

Venue - 4500 (just the space, chairs, tables, etc plus a "day of" coordinator to help things run smoothly)

Photographer - 2956 (with engagement session and travel fee, as our wedding is 3.5 hours from where we live!)

Catering - 6900 (buffet with rolls, salad, 2 entrees, 2 starches, and 2 veg, plus appetizers)

Drinks - 2000 (this is totally a guess, but we get to supply our own alcohol instead of going through the caterer)

    Favors - 200 (mostly homemade)

Cake - 500 (no display cake.. just a layered sheet cake served, 2 flavors)

Paper Goods - 700 (this is a guess.. but we are making our own invites, programs, etc)

    Clergy - 360 (including rehearsal)

Music - 265 (live guitarist for ceremony, including travel fee since she is one hour from the location, and her attending rehearsal)

    DJ -750

Flowers - 875 (my bouquet, 5 BM bouquets, 2 corsages, 1 bout, and 4 arrangements for "special" reception tables.. our flowers are green hydrangea and white peonies)

My "Beauty Budget - 2000 (my dress, shoes, hair, makeup, jewelry, veil, nails, undergarments.. whatever I need to look the way I want to look!)

Groom's Clothes - 600 (we are doing suits for GM, FH will probably get a new suit and shoes and whatnot.. this is a high estimate!)

    Gifts - 1100 (5 BMs, 5 GMs, 2 FGs, 2 ushers, and 2 sets of parents)

Decorations - 400 (centerpieces, linens, etc)

Rehearsal Dinner - 600 (total guess.. we're hoping to do something very low key.. maybe even ordering pizza.. we'll see!)

Photobooth - $700 (unlimited photos with an attendant to help things run smoothly)

We are paying for everything ourselves..

Ours is 5,000, but we are hoping for way less than that. We are trying to find the cheapest/best of everything. We have about 75-85 guests lined up for our wedding.

DJ - Is going to be about $600

Ceremony - Will hopefully be a donation or really cheap, since it is a non-profit church/gallery. Haven't asked about that yet.

Invitations - FH is making them. It shouldn't be TOO expensive since we don't have many people coming.

Officiant - We plan on a friend doing it. We will probably pay him something though.

Everything else we don't know yet. However, it doesn't look bad so far. It seems like catering and photography will the most expensive. Hopefully we can figure out a cheaper option though.
